You give Pro Tips, here's a Bro Tip. When using biometrics. Always restart your phone before going to sleep. If you suspect someone may attempt to access your phone. This will require a pin or password entry to unlock the phone the 1st time after restart. That way, snoopy people can't unlock your phone using biometrics while you're asleep.

I had a Blackview smartphone and also bought the Tab 11 tablet and I really like both devices and would recommend them to my friends. Backview are not busybodies, you get exactly what you describe and the devices are very well made. I've never had any problems with the devices. The only slight negative is their warranty - they don't offer as much warranty as US or European products but like I told you I've never had any issues so warranty was never necessary. In addition, all products have a super fair price.

Well, that's theirs names, but all are called GPS. It doesn't matter is your device is connected to Glonass from Rusia, to Galileo from Europe or to Beidou from China, all programs say that they are using GPS. And all serve the same purpose: Global Positioning System.

One thing to remember is that the American GPS is run/controlled by the military. There have been reports of them restricting actual usage at times, so it might be good to have other systems as backup.

I've used a bv9800pro for just over a year it has a flir thermal camera which is the reason I purchased it for work (mechanical) and the battery is insane even with moderate to heavy use will get well over 35 hours without power saving enabled i have had nothing but Sony's and Samsung's in the past but I'll never go back after having a blackvue phone their build quality is puts anything else I've had to absolute shame and on a durability aspect the only fault I found (due to my field of work) was the material screen for the speaker will allow metal filings through and will mess the speaker up which I replaced the fabric screen with a 5 micron stainless mesh and a piece of face mask material underneath and that's the only issue I have had. Edit: thinking of it I wonder why they didn't send you the 9900pro with the flir thermal camera that would have been ideal for your field of work 🤔

But the Android is much better for my job (Network engineer), you can plug almost anything into it - it doesnt have to be proprietory and as you noted I like being in control of so many settings and customisations. The other GPS system BeiDou is the Chinese version. Yes the US version is the original however China was intimidated they they did not have control over it and therefore made their own system. BieDou claims to be accurate within inches as US GPS accurate within a few feet. The benefit of this multiple system would be able to pull positioning anywhere in the world with less building interference (tunnels etc that interfere).

I'm tech also as you may recall from your previous video Jason n I recently bought the BV9800 Pro for the thermal camera so I'll give ya the heads up the battery life is nothing like they quoted n (I have power saver on so the processor idles down) mine has 6.85Ah battery n it out of the blue randomly kills itself within 1.5 days on standby n then take's hrs to detect the dead bat n recharge also don't use the USB-C to charge it as the flap over the port after opening it several times won't stay closed so no IP rating I have bought a wallet case for mine n use wireless charging only , it originally was Android 9 but I have reflashed mine to 12 other than these few weird arse faults it seems ok n strangely enough I bought from a seller in Illinois it did a treck around the U.S. till it left at L.A. bound for OZ then another 200km to my door so it's been around da world from China. It was cheaper to buy from the U.S. including shipping & customs duty than I could buy in OZ as everyone is gouging here due to Rona n it's only getting worse. I'll send ya an email soon cheers.

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT CARRIER IS THIS BLACKVIEW BV 8800 WILL WORK WITH IN AMERICA? I KNOW THERE ARE FOUR MAIN CARRIERS LIKE AT&T AND VERIZON AND T-MOBILE AND SPRINT WHICH WAS PURCHASED BY T-MOBILE. AND I KNOW THERE ARE MANY MVNO SMALLER COMPANIES WHICH USE THOSE FOUR COMPANIES DATA. AND I ALSO WANT TO KNOW IF ANYONE KNOWS IF THE BV 4900 PRO FROM BLACKVIEW WILL USE THE SAME CARRIERS OR IF IT WILL BE A MORE RESTRICTIVE PHONE? THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Well usually you start with 1 Volt @ 500ma & a thermal cam & watch the current but don't ever let the volts go over 3 & current on an extreme case 3 amps (usually 2 amps is more than enough that's 6 watts of power) that's 9 watts of power if things aren't showing up with that on a thermal cam or even using alcohol well you've got a big problem. If you have any further questions feel free to ask.

I used this phone off and on for 6 days and also let our youngest boy play some games on it. We managed to drain it down to 28%. It could drain much quicker depending on how much you use it but this is a phone I will wind up charging every 3~7 days I think.

The camera makes the monitor look a lot worse. It seems a bit dimmer than the other display next to it but the color difference is hardly noticeable with my eyes. I think it's gradually getting worse though! I'm probably going to wonder why I waited to long to replace it once I finally do.

No 5G on this one, only 4G. It's the heaviest phone I've ever had but I've really started to like it. The battery lasts me for a couple of days even under fairly heavy use. I will be reviewing the BL8800 Pro soon.. I'm really excited for the thermal imaging! Edit: I'm not sure but I think their BL8800 is 5g? I haven't checked yet.

@@ststele right they're saying that it's 5G now but I saw in your video it was not something wasn't adaptable for a USA? Anyway I have the 9800 already for a couple years and it's freaking heavy. But I got used to it and I had to modify wallet cases to clip to my belt and like cut out the sides to make it work LOL. I'm all in all happy with my black view because I'm a clumsy sort and I keep dropping my phone and was paying for a lot of screens. It does so much stuff I never even know how to do it.

I have *two* big and *one* massive issues with this phone. No 5G; who the hell would pay that much for a phone that is not 5G capable today? 🤷‍♂ It used a *heat pipe* to keep the CPU cool.....why? If the CPU getting hammered that much it requires that industrial cooling. But the ultimate biggie for me, not so for you, is warranty repairs? Does it need to be sent back to _AliExpress_ if it needs repaired. This phone has a few nice toys that would be cool to have and I hope your kids enjoy those features. *Thank You* for the review though. 👍
