The Drive petal is my favorite .Like an old tube screamer .
Nice job as always Tone King. Really enjoy the videos, they are always informative. Keep up the good work.
Cool Demo. Your work is much Appreciated
TK thx for all your reviews, they help me decide what I will buy!
Nice tone and playing man, you are amazing!!! greetings from colombia
TK -- Heard a lot of chug in the green one. But my favorite was the yellow one. It sounded the best to me, creamy smooth & in your face, with out being too much. Good demo !
Great vid and great tones tk! I'd take me all to but I love the sound of the drive, I think that's my favourite.
i have the green dual pedal. it does sound good. my only complaint is that the sound drops out when i switch from channel 1 to channel 2. i wish that the switching was seemless but it is not. maybe i got a defective switch? oh well. i personally can't give it a green light because of the droput issue. otherwise, it does sound good.
Great! Blackstar is always good!
Nice playing TK
Great playing TTK!
Great playing TTK.
They all sound great.
Thanks for the review. I came seeking a demo on the LT dual specifically. I thought the pedal sounded 'squashed' on both channels which is not atypical of a distortion pedal but I had hoped it would sound more open with headroom. The higher the gain, the more squashed it sounded. I can hear the difference in the tone and isf controls but, they don't seem to clear up the squashed aspect.
I like the Yellow Drive pedal the best by far.
awesome jam / demo
As far as i'm concerned, the people who said your playing was awful have no leg to stand on! Your playing was great here! The pedals also sound so so good! Really wanna get my hands on some and if I wasn't a poor student, I definitely would!
The yellow was my favorite. I would use it to dial in a nice boost to push to amp allot harder. :)
Yellow + Blue = FUN
Blue! The Color for the boost is Blue! My Fav? I like the dual. Sounds fantastic with the RD100!
They're all awesome.
Surprised by the Drive one 😮👍 the metal one also great, huge low end. It depends always the guitar and amp you're using too, pal
Nice tones
Thanks - useful demo. I'm thinking about a versatile drive pedal to add to my pedal board - I have an old Marshall Guvnor which is great but I like the idea of something with two channels... so like the Dual. Great demo which has me really considering the dual as a potential addition to my rig
Love your videos thanks
I think Blackstar is onto something with these pedals. Its amazing how they can enter a new category and be instant contenders.
That's a beautiful axe TK!
Great demo! I've noticed that you may have some kind of compressor/limiter in the recording stage and it's acting too hard. You may want to reduce the threshold a bit cause when you palm mute you can hear the sound ducking. Or try to reduce the volume of the amp mic entering the mixer.
The boost is in Blue. I like them all but the Dist is my favorite. The Randall Diavlo series are awesome. I have the RD5c and love it, but would also like the RD1c and RD100. Also, thanks for the heads up on the Jet City deal. I should be receiving it this coming week.
It's blue, man, every time I see/hear that Tone Dragon i'm just melting, what a guitar!!!
Blue Boost Pedal !!! However, like I mentioned previously, that Duel pedal ties the boost, drive and dist together perfectly.
Blackstar LT Boost vs Ibanez TS-9 Tubescreamer what's better?
that drive is sweet! nice riffin TTK!!!!!!
The yellow pedal the business and I would go for the green dual pedal great video .
The chords you played with that drive pedal sounded great! I think it has high enough gain even for metal. Awesome sounding overdrive -- maybe the best I've heard yet from a pedal. Just put that booster in front of it. The distortion pedal also sounded great, especially on the squealy harmonics. Both kept great note definition without trash or flutter. The 'metal' pedal here seemed redundant. There also seemed to be something off in the attack/response time of that 'metal' pedal unless my ears/net connection were failing me.
Chappers and Captain Lee covered these not too long ago. I loved the Drive pedal. I was surprised that it had that much gain. And they really do sound very tube-like. I can't wait to hear one of these in person.
The boost is BLUE. I like the drive best. Pretty badass. I have the Randall Diavlo RD5H. Sick little amp.
thinking of having the dual. I like green.
I run the boost before the drive - really big sounding.
I like all of them but for the green one on a single channel amp, this will be a great addition to my collection. Peace, Flood!
It was a hard choice for me ... Well up until you played the duel. That sold me on the duel. The tone and versatility of the Duel is where it's at!!! Awesome stuff !!!!
Blue The Drive seems to be the best one out of these :)
They all Sound's Pretty Good an Really Amp Like ! I Think There All Great ...
I bought the green-dual overdrive pedal several months ago and have used it many times at various venues; both small bars and larger lounge type rooms. This pedal is very nice; however, I found it to have too much bottom end; no matter how I tweaked it, that bottom still reverberated through. It clashed with the bass and was hidden in the band mix. I ended up going back to my "Boss Dual Overdrive" pedal because it has much less bass and can be heard clearly and distinctly in the band mix. Don't get me wrong; its a wonderful overdrive sound; its just a bit too much bottom end. It might work better through a Fender or Marshal amp.
The blue pedal is the boost and really liking the LT Metal!
i still can't get over the amptweaker tight metal pro ! thank TK I'm going to give plasma to buy one lol
The OD sounded the best!
Blue for Boost. I really dig the Distortion.
The Boost pelad colour is blue. Favourite would be a tough choice between drive and metal.
I liked the Drive and Boost the best, but the Duel with it's ISF knob would defiantly be the most versatile. Tough choices!
Hey TTK; I'd throw a buffer in front of those pedals so your signal isn't darkened because of the total cable length!
The boost is blue. They all sounded good hard to pick a favorite.
Boost is blue. Yellow drive was my favorite. Nice tone.
Blue and I think my favorite is the Boost
blue boost.hell i would have any of them but the drive sounds sweet.
Blue is the boost!!! My fav is the green Dual!
the boost is blue .....love the blackstar metal pedal
There's some really heavy tones in those pedals. I like the Drive also.
I went to Randall's Facebook page.... I didn't see the contest question posted yet so... I am the Winner for today's round. :P
Boost is blue, my favorite would have to be the yellow drive. yellow+blue would be a nice combo.
The blue is the boost ! The dual is the best for me !
The boost is blue. Just like my fav, the boost... It makes the sound so ... big, or beefy as you described it. It makes it fat, present, impressive a little raw and it just sounds so nice... More like real beef, it's like playing a big steak with a neck and pickups. hehe.. Cheers!
I like all sound great!!!!!!
Do these all count as 1 pedal for the month? Or 5? I hope you have 28 more for us!!
Man @7 mins you had a perfect Black Sabbath sound with just the boost and you have some delay running also i agree on The Drive. I have a feeling The Dual is the best its that 2 pedals in one type pedal. Nice job.
Blue for Boost!
I have to totally agree that I would have been playing them and comparing these Blackstar LT pedals for hours taking breaks inbetween just to see if I could decide which one *IN FACT* sounded better. I've watched and listened to this video 3 times already and I still can't come to a total conclusion as to which is the best one. All I can say is they ALL IN FACT are TNT TERRIFIC and I'd want them all if I had the extra cash for them. Great job TTK and awesome job Blackstar on the LT pedals.
i like the boost with drive best
Blue for the Boost, I like the Metal pedal.
Father boost is blue. I like the Dual the most, because if it's versatility
That Silent switching is sweet. I personally like Buffer. I have 10 pedal on my board and one id a Buffered A/B/T with a Buffer it near the front of my chain, I should get another buffered pedal at the end also. Some people swear by true bypass but the pedalboard guru Bob Bradford9I think) uses Buffers in his custom boards.
Love that Doublemint joke
The question is up now
blue, think I like the dual best .
Blue is boost. Sounds good.
I love the dist but i agree the duel is probably the best of both worlds.
Blue boost, I like the Boost the best.
BOOST IS BLUE! MY FAVORITE IS YELLOW DRIVE
The boost pedal is Blue, My favorite pedal would be the LT-Metal in black
The Boost is Blue and that is my favorite.
These pedals are built like a tank. I own the LT Metal and don't think much of it personally (too much of one thing and not enough of another). The US-UK tone diffence through the ISF is outrageous - best to stay in the middle. Was thinking of buying the LT Distortion next but now after hearing The Tone King's samples will buy the LT Drive next. JMHO.
im buying the dist.
Boost is blue, my fav is metal, but its hard to say. Haven´t tried all of them yet.
The boost is blue. And the dual would be my favorite.
boost is blue, and it is my favorite.
the boost is BLUE, and I like the boost best
Boost is Blue. I like the Drive
Well... i think the yellow one could be my favourite... but it lacks the ISF... yet i like the sound of my amp so isf becomes kind of not so important... where i think the real magic is... single coils with the yellow one.
Like em all
Doublemint gum (which I believe is spearmint flavored).
Well I bought the LT DIST (classic distortion) & LT DRIVE (classic overdrive) and taking back my words that the Drive sounds much better. Maybe to TTK's amp settings it sounds great but it doesn't on my amp. Prefer the LT DIST, LT METAL then the LT DRIVE in that order. There is definitely value in the LT line at $89.99 for the Drive & $99.99 for each LT DIST & LT METAL. I have no use for the LT Boost but the LT Dual @ $149.99 I can't go wrong again. So why not...it's on my list. Love that bubble gum green btw.
Blue is the boost pedal, my favorite pedal is the metal distortion
i noticed theres no isf on all of em
The boost pedal is blue and my favorite is drive
The boost is blue.I personally love the metal
I like the green one sounds way full and beefy.
the boost is blue, I like the metal one the best
The doublemint twins!
and makes it sound electric
just to say the yellow one adds little dist as well but thye orange ones better
