Blackpool Tram Ride Pleasure Beach to Norbreck Castle
Ойын-сауық
Join me for a Blackpool tram ride from the Pleasure Beach to the Norbreck Castle Hotel. I give a running commentary about the promenade, and some of it's history along the way. Please excuse the rather dirty window.

I once had a nice trip on a Blackpool tram to Fleetwood the old trams where the best in my opinion
Highly enjoyable watch. My late Grandparents lived only a few minutes walk down from the Norbreck when I was a kid. I took that tram ride many times and it was great to see all those landmarks again. Cheers 🍻

Hi Stephen we was on that tram last Sunday, fleetwood and not end after watching your video about it. Hopefully back around Xmas ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Another great video Stephen as always are ! I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video of your tram journey . Highlighting lots of hotels, previous buildings that were, history, the former swimming baths, so sad it’s gone. The magnificent miners accommodation, and some hotels are very large too. Looks more dapper as the journey unfolds further up line. Costly houses at that ! Who wouldn’t want one ? And sea views thrown in the mix. Yeay the tram certainly did pick up speed of a train ! Love cruising along at that speed. Not been on a Blackpool tram for years but did do the route. Right through to fleetwood, another a day trip to Cleveland. Keep up the good work Stephen. Legend ! Takecare. Di. Xxxx
Thanks Stephen for the lovley tram ride seeing all the difftent hotels and the lovley view when you got of the tram
Baines Grammar held their annual swimming gala at the Derby baths. A bit like St Trinian's, (except we were all boys) hitting British Rail from Poulton to Blackpool.
Nice ride and info Stephen ,that sky at the beginning looked gorgeous. Thanks see you soon take care 😊
Love a bit of a tram ride & eyeing up all the art deco along the way ❤
Cocker Street baths were used by the schools Stephen for the childrens swimming classes. Not as nice as the Derby and the Lido. Rather dark and dull inside but served a purpose. Swimming classes were compulsory for schools back in the day.👍👌
GOOD MORNING 🌄 EXCELLENT. VIDEO 📸📷 AS. USUAL. 🎉🎉🎉🎉😅😮
I think that spare land, between the Velvet Coaster and Osborne Rd, has one of those large stormwater tanks (like at Bloomfield Rd & Anchorsholme park), you can see lots of manholes there. I remember a large sewer outfall pipe between South pier and the Open Air Baths, emptying sewage into the sea, in the 70's, before they built the tank.
Fantastic video Steve really enjoyed the tram ride 🙂
That was good thanks some memories of Blackpool staying with friends on school 6weeks holiday.Back a long time ago great team ride.

When you're in Blackpool you've got to ride the trams and I love trams the first tram I ever road on was an OMO when my mum and nan took me to Blackpool in August 1982 for a week
Castle in name only from the reviews I've seen, the rooms are a right dive inside. Thanks for the video!!!
Braemar is one of my favourite places and nice for it to get a mention 😁
Enjoyed the tram ride with you Stephen. It’s very interesting to see all the hotels etc. you would be a great tourist guide. You know the names of every street. and history of Blackpool. Great footage thank you very much. 👍❤️❤️❤️

Blackpool is my favourite place in the world
I'm so pleased your documenting all of the changes and potential changes taking place in Blackpool. It is so important to have a historical record of these places, what they are like and who goes there?. Thank you Stephen.
We stayed at the Clifs for the first time last June and we really loved it, gonna try and spend a weekend there next year, if we can. e also spent a night at the Savoy, which was ok but not as good as the Cliffs. 2020 saw us stay at the Imperial which was very nice, particularly the evening meal we had there, but it was a little bit too expensive to go there often!
I was thinking to myself the other week I was sure there was an arcade with a carousel inside. I vaguely remembered it from when I visited Blackpool as a kid and now I know, it was the golden mile. I knew it was on the seafront somewhere near Central pier but couldn't remember where.
An absolute delight, really enjoyed that ❤

Phil Shakespeare used to sing at the Queen's and few other places you passed in luding the Gynn. Very good singer.
My late father used to drink at Uncle Tom's Cabin when my parents took me to Blackpool on holiday!!!
Great video
Just watched a similar thing that was well made I thought about Grimsby and Cleethorpes which was a bit sad. Your positivity is refreshing mate and knowing the local history is a very big part of that. I wouldn’t have got up that early on a Sunday morning but fair play. You make me smile….

Great video and history lesson👍
Fantastic tram ride. When I was on my holidays over there in 2019, my cuz and I did a tram ride to Fleetwood and back to St Chad's stop every morning before our breakfasts. The Norbrek always stood out as a fabulous looking building. Rather sadly surprised at the comments I hear about the place tho.
Hi Stephen thank you for another great video as always that was very informative i love a tram ride the times ive been on one in Blackpool have a great evening xx
I was at the Play Expo on Saturday, absolutely rammed! Hope it was a bit quieter for you on Sunday, I'd love to see a video about it, especially since I missed out on the Chris Huelsbeck talk.

I wish somebody would do this in Norfolk. Walk With Me Tim started doing this, but his last few videos have been in Los Angeles! He is still great of course, but I would love to see more local stuff, esp as I can't get out much.
Fabulous video 😊
Was u vlogging the Norbreck arcade show Stephen that was great to see the old arcade games and software and retro machines

Interesting you mention the Royal Carlton. I recently received Blackpool Promotions latest brochure and there was no mention of the Royal Carlton, yet it is still listed on their website.
Hope you're doing a video of the retro games in the Norbeck ,loved your last one seeing all the old games brilliant. I passed by the art deco building and it's a shame they have let it go to the state it's in,such a shame. Love art deco buildings. Be safe and thanks again.

Hi Stephen form Helen in grangemouth
Such a drab and dreary place.
Do they still have conducters on the trams Stephen? Fascinated by trams in Blackpool when I was a kid in late 60s.Remember conducter turning all seats around when it reached it's destination.Fare tickets from conducters machine used to be over a foot long when a family of 6 got on the tram....
@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool

There were 2 conductors on this one.

Enjoyed this Stephen😊. We are in Blackpool just now and we took the Fleetwood Ferry tram tonight from Starr Gate to see the Tower. It is looking fantastic🗼. The tram is such a great way to get around especially if you buy the "all day" ticket which you can use on the buses too👍

Did you go for the Highland Games in Breamar?
Really hoping someone can help as it's driving me nuts. Which Blackpool arcade in the 80s had the salon girl mannequins sitting on swings suspended from the ceiling. 😜Thanks

Hi Stephen
A tour of the notorious Norbreck Castle would be deserving of a vlog on its own. Not exactly the Ritz. Would be, er, shall we say entertaining...
Never been past the North pier may have to do this in a couple of weeks on the tram . How much does it cost to do all that way on a tram.
