Blackpool 🎉 tower

My 5 year old grandboy especially loves this one because he loves the tower. He has statues of it, adores going up it. He knows all the facts and unlike me loves the glass floor and the windows. I feel sick watching him leaning on the glass 😂😂 He says it is “a beautiful structure” the phrases he comes out with are so grown up for a 5 year old 😂 he does have some autism traits. Thank you for giving him a trip up the tower whenever he likes!!! ❤

Fantastic and what a cracking day to go up there. Makes you appreciate what a superb construction it was back in the day, and still is! imagine building it in those sorts of winds.

Very happy memories for me at Blackpool tower, first year at the top and a beautiful last holiday with my late father visiting the ballroom where he enjoyed the wherlitzer, the views and reminiscing at the circus. Such a beautiful building ❤️ miss you dad x

Lol I remember March 1968 and a Big Bird nesting at the top! it was hilarious to see people's reactions! especially when they realised it was the Comedy show of that time Candid Camera! Cool to watch!

44 years ago, my job in the tower was to the empty bins/ashtrays in the complex. I loved every second of the job because I had the (implied freedom) to go anywhere. I would start in the circus, walking where the animals were kept at the time, go into the dressing rooms and sometimes sit imagining who's famous bum had sat there. The Ballroom etc was part of my wandering. 3 times a shift, I would ride the shoogly lift to the top. There were no glass windows at that time and being scared of heights, I would hug the walls to get my job done. I met some wonderful people and had friendships with entertainers who at the end of the season had me on stage spinning plates. Loved it. (it is 18 years since I left pool and your videos bring back so so many memories, good and bad) thank you. Peace. Robert.

Great video guys, brought back some memories ! The last time I was up there was 30 years ago. There was a level above the one you were on that’s blocked off now. Back in the day there was just a chain and padlock across it and you could get past it !

The thing with Stephen is he has a life to live. I got the same when I lived on the coast in Dorset. Friends and family would come to visit and say "cor I bet you are never off this beach " ( in Stephens case always up the Tower ) - what they fail to grasp is they are having a break and you live there so all the stuff they are putting off - shopping/mowing the lawn/washing the car/going to work etc kinda gets in the way of days on the beach...... they have it all to look forward to when they get back ha ha ha

Absolutely Brilliant amazing view Ive been before about ten years ago but watching this makes me wanting a Holiday there last time i purchased 2 passes beforehand called the Blackpool entertainment pass. Which included a lot and free buses for the week. One thing i can Remember is it was vip. No queering..Zoo straight to the front..and to make our holiday special we got tickets for Cat's at the theatre..But watching yourself and macmaster going to the Tower makes me wanting to come back.. Thanks for the video it was Great as usual Thank you very much..

@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool Yes, much better when you are with someone. It was years ago when I went up and I was on my own and same again when I went up the Eiffel Tower. I just wanted to tell somebody how great it was and point out what the views were. I could tell you were enjoying yourself. I call it 'getting the Blackpool feeling'.

It's 50 years since I went up as a teenager, I remember me and my mates going right to the top and it being windy like that I was absolutelt terrified. Its changed a lot on the way up, and I don't think there was mesh over it either 💩 xx

went up there pre stroke, now paralysed need to go again, gret video lads, see it again soon hopefully.
