Dang you did? How's the orginal one treating you? Was it worth the "downgrade". I'm sitting and must admit that the original one is very film-like compared to my 4k which maybe a bit more digital.

The new pocket CAMs does not stand a chance against the old in cinematic feel. Thats just a fact. The High pixel densitet makes them look much more digital and clean (not in a good way). Sold my 6k and got 2 bmmccs instead..

Like everyone agrees. Superb production. I was so transfixed on the approach to the cat mural (2:30). Waiting for focus issues or something. Great shot. Did you pull focus on that or use a closed down aperture? Loved it. .... ALSO magical the way the combination of the backing track and gimbal gave me a 50fps feel. Ya messing with my head. Cool
Amazing

So lots of great wide shots here. Was that the tokina or the panasonic lens? Which do you prefer on this camera for wide shots? Did you use a speedbooster with both? Have you tried the Sigma 8-16mm with this camera using a speedbooster? I’m looking for the best wide angle lens for a bmmcc (under the Sigma 18-35, which i already have). What would you recommend?
Thank you dude , now I feel bad for selling my bmpcc after 7 years of use :)

Beautiful imagery Hideki! You have made the most out of this camera. I have been bouncing back and forth from using this camera and the new 6k. Trying to keep my kit always minimal...curious to know how you go about sound and battery life with this camera. @@DavidMatias79 The texture of the film. The visual feel. It's relaxing and hopeful. Each image feels like a moment in time. The music choice. To the technical side. The shot composition, the image quality, the pacing. The colour grade is everything. We're you working with a manual lens or autofocus?
@DavidMatias79

@@rinusworldzm but it's not actually film. It doesn't have any actual texture. It's just ones and zeros. What is it that gives it the appearance of texture more than anything else? Is it this magical thing called grading?

I explained how I processed the color before. Basically shoot well in camera, and do subtle in post. Thank you.
Whoa, this is arsanal glass, tell me through what you connected sigma to bm original
wow...
Awesome video. The movement is just perfect. I wonder if you have done any post stabilizing work? If yes, was that done in Davinci? If not, I would love to know your secret behind the gymbal Pilotfly H2. Do you carefully do the Ninja walk on every single shot? I own Moza Air 2. But no matter how carefully i made my Ninija walk, the up&down (Z-axis) movement is just hard to get rid of. Anyway congrats for this amazing work!!
@hideki_film

I applied stabilization in post on some footages. Of course I practiced walking, but the stability and smoothness on the Pilotfly is outstanding. I owned Pilotfly (x 3 models), Zhiyun crane 2, and currently Ronin s but the smoothness on Pilotfly is way beyond other gimbals. The Simple BCG setting is huge down side though. Thanks.

Atmosphere Light Photography Cinema Pilotfly is the most underrated gimbal on the market in my opinion.
HI. I absolutely love this. I've been on the fence about a BM pocket original for a while, but this may push me over the edge. I am curios of your approach to color grading. How much color grading was done to this? Was it a LUT or was this an in-depth color grade within Resolve. I looked up the lenses you have listed and they are decently priced. It seems you didn't use any ND filters. The camera has an Awesome look that looks just like a movie!!!!!
@hideki_film
4 жыл бұрын
Color grading on the bmpcc original footages is extremely easy. Exposure curve, saturation and slight touch of white balance. Add film grain at the end. You don’t need lut at all. I usually use Nd. Thanks.

Hideki Shiota / FILM EI Wow. Awesome
How does your night time/low light footage not suck with this cam? (I'm assuming you've got the aperture closed down a bit to stay in focus for the gimbal shots) Even with fast lenses my low light footage comes out noisy and bad with the older BM cams
Awesome awesome awesome! Which lense and stabilizer did you use?
