Outstanding tune.. great choice, Biz! "I Got A Line On You", "Flyin' High" or "Left Turn On a Red Light", for future songs.

Classic road song from the 70s, up there with Bob Seger's "Turn the Page". Blackfoot was a pretty underrated "southern" rock band that should have been every bit as storied as The Allman Brothers, but for some reason they just never really got huge. But this one is still on the radio after 50 years, so they did something right. Great stuff, dude!

High School Senior Year, blowing down the road in my '69 Barracuda 100+ mph. They played the local Bike Rally a few years ago, and my son then 14 got them to autograph his t-shirt, even though they weren't doing a meet and greet. Made his whole year.

Blackfoot got its name to represent the American Indian heritage of its members: Jakson Spires (from Oklahoma) had a Cheyenne/French father and a Cherokee mother; Rickey Medlocke's father was Lakota Siou] and Blackfoot Indian, and his mother's side is Creek/Cherokee, Scottish and Irish; Greg "Two Wolf" Walker is part Eastern (Muskogee) Creek, a tribe recognized by the state of Florida, but not federally. Charlie Hargrett was the only white man of the original, classic line-up.

One if my favorite bands. I discovered them accidently many years ago when I saw an album of theirs (cassette actually) in a store and I mistook them for a band an old roommate tried to get me interested in many years earlier. It was a pretty cool mistake to make. "Left Turn on a Red Light" is kinda chill like the earlier part of this song. Might not be everybody's cup of tea but the guitar work on that song is wonderful IMO.

I didn't realize you haven't heard this band before. Awesome choice. That whole Strikes album is great. A classic. Just randomly pick a song on it and it'll be good. Left Turn on a Red Light is my favorite track. They have another song called Diary of a Working Man that you would like.

I used to listen to these guys. They were awesome. I saw them live in a bar 40 years ago. I was only 16. Better, far more fun, days. That being said, I'm not advocating for it. But, there was something more real and not "bubble wrapped for your protection" back then that I miss. It seems like people were much more free. Including free to get your ass handed to you if made certain decisions. I liked that. I feel sorry for young people now because they live in such an odd reality that is not actually reality, and am grateful to have grown up in the '70s and '80s....
