Thanks so much for picking up my suggestion and bringing it on the Wylde side 😉 You did a great job (analysis), as usual! This video was awesome, but what's more is that all their videos are! And moreover is that out of more than 40 songs, each one is absolutely magnificent and has nothing to envy the others. You can often read many times in the comments section of each Blackbriar release: "never disappointed" or "Blackbriar never do a bad song". As you told to write things about the band, I just leave their own words about them, here: "The siren song of Blackbriar continues to swell as the band moves towards 2024 at their most cinematic and seductive best. A magnificent 2023 saw them ensnaring a collaboration with metal juggernaut Nuclear Blast Records, releasing their second full-length A Dark Euphony with long-time collaborator/producer Joost van den Broek in tow, and a massively successful first stint at a headlining tour in Europe. With KZread streams now reaching 61 million views and over 238,000 subscribers, and equally massive Spotify stats including a total of over 46 million streams, with over 260,000 monthly listeners who contribute to 1.4 million streams a month and 16 million streams per year, it’s evident that the world has already been entangled in Blackbriar’s dark web of beauty and darkness, spellbound by their fairytale euphonies." And last but not least, they will be touring North America around may 2024 as a support for Battle Beast 🤘

Good and thoughtful reaction I will share a fact about the music video most people do not know, the person playing the dead person is the band's old bassist. Almost at the beginning you can see Siebe the new bassist (tall guy with the long blond hair) reach out and take a plectrum from the old bassist's chest almost as a passing of the torch. It is truly a meaningful little detail that most people won't see, all the other people in the music video are Patreon supporters of the band.

Zora is a siren, devilishly intoxicating with promises of lust and enchantment, and something you would expect to hear on soundtracks to things like The Witcher. They have been going for over a decade but only have 2 albums after signing with Nuclear Blast recently. Their videos are brilliant, and the dark fairy tales are hauntingly beautiful. I highly recommend "I'd Rather Burn" & "Weakness and Lust". An amazing band, gutted to have kept missing them play live, but next time they are close by I will be making sure to get in on the action.

One of my long time fav bands. Zora is very creative and has become a master at music videos, even producing them for other bands. Her songs are often themed on the mythical. Selkies and Sirens and such. This one is about a Sin Eater.

Blackbriar are Dutch. Formed in 2012, they have 3 Ep's and 2 albums. Alt metal/ goth rock, symphonic metal. Lead singer is Zora Cock, I think it's pronounced something like (Coke). Another great female Dutch vocalist. There HAS to be something in the water over there. LOL. The song is from the recently released 2nd album, A Dark Euphony. If you're interested in checking out more , try Until Eternity, Snow White and Rose Red (feat Ulli Perhonen), Crimson Faces, and Cicada.
