Perhaps not the best pick for a competitive player but for someone wanting to start building a BT force just to paint and enjoy its a great starting point

I'm surprised you only got the standard transfer sheet and not the larger one that comes with the upgrade sprue when bought separately.

Good video man! On the B-sprue (B26) do you know which model can use that big gun? I think it's a multi-melta? Is that for vehicles or models?

The one on the upgrade sprue was a chaoter special vehicle upgrade

@@ModellingforAdvantage thank you! I just found that option for the impulsor. I’ve built the entire combat patrol besides the marshal and impulsor-wanted to make sure I didn’t miss an opportunity to equip that cool looking multi melta

Nice video. I'm looking to get into 40k and I want to start with bt. Now i cam get the army set for 105€ and the combat patrol box for 88€. What would make more sense for me to buy for starting black templars?

in your case, if yo udono;t have anything already you are going to need to book from that starter army so you are probably best starting there. Dreadnoughts are great, so youi may well want to go on the get the combat patrol later, but you really need that book to get going.

Are all the marines of the primaris type? I wonder when they will phase out the old style marines? Re the price just buy from ebay or independent traders you often can save 20% on the RRP

They certainly are, as far as phasing out the old marines thats a difficult question. Fluff wise they are mostly gone but getting rid of the rules for them would annoy alot of players and having them available gives them sales from old molds so its likely not for the forseeable future.

Yeah, they are expensive.

The Intercessors is bit excessive on this box, if it Sword Brethern maybe this box will be better

Yeah, more bespoke models would have surely been better, but still it is a decent box I think. I loved the upgrade sprue.

I'm very worried about upcoming the Horse Heresy. As I understand it, it is planned to remake of the old oldschool Space Marines in a new quality. This is good, but other rumors say that all this is ONLY for Heresy, but not for 40k, because the lines of miniatures should not cross-fit. There is someone in the GW who is clearly out of place, if he thinks that making a remake of old 40k models and not giving them to 40K is a good idea.
