Her delayed Arcana poping for a casual 150k damage is so satisfying

She's good, probaly does more damage then blade........ but in my opinion she feels so MISERABLE to use without kafka.......again my opinion(which on meta takes its wrong 30% of the time)

Her Arcana count as Wind Sheer (idk if it was addressed in the video or not i havent finished it) therefore Sampo e4 will be able to trigger it, on top of that, sampo will be triggering his own DoT 5 times in ST situation, adding 5 more arcana stack (if you have enough ehr) so no, she does not feel miserable without kafka, in fact, she doesnt feel much different with either of them, what youre thinking about is the feeling of using kafka vs using sampo itself, which is a whole different topic

Some of you in the comments need to realize that there are multiple ways to play these characters. I am using her as a defense shredder for Dr. Ratio and it works out great. She does more damage than pela while also still shredding defenses. I don’t have Kafka at all. Also Black swan can literally carry you through all of simulated universe with the nihility path.

Yeah, her skill def shred makes her a lot more reliable than pela since it’s not tied to her ult, and lasts 3 turns, plus her arcana has a chance of adding more def reduction or other effects, she’s so good for dr ratio especially if you don’t have silver wolf

@@femmenic well now I use her as Hyper Carry with Ruan Mei, Huo Huo and Tingyun. When I used her with Ratio it was Ruan Mei, Ratio, Black Swan, and Fu Xuan. Also I have Black swan E2 and Ruan Mei E1. I have only pulled on supports and sustain banners. Black Swan and Ratio really are my only DPS 5 stars besides Himeko.

Kafka is a massive force multiplier for Black Swan and that is it. Your taking an insanely good unit and then forming the dommy mommy destruction squad if you work Kafka, Swan and Ruan Mei Together. Ignore the Huo Huo she is there for moral support until Hoyoverse reveals the final infinity stone.

The most realistic take is: no, she doesn't need Kafka (especially against wind weak enemies where secondary dps Sampo can shine as shown), but Kafka does just make her even more insane.

the TCs i did hear from said this. idk where he got the quote "BS sucks without kafka". he's calling out TCs pre-release takes, but TCs' takes were a lot more nuanced than he makes them out to be in this video. especially with e4 sampo who can detonate the stacks

Current pure fiction I split Swan and Kafka a few times and it was totally fine! Together though, it was absolutely silly, Swan's arcana from her technique just wasting full waves the moment they spawn. I struggled pretty hard with the previous PF and this one was 12 stars without really trying.

​​​​@@maevethefox5912 it's because current PF turbulence is literally made for her 1. Increase DoT taken by 50% 2. Decrease DMG taken based on DoT applied by 30% 3. Advanced forward enemies turn by 35% DoT is dealt by *breaking enemies toughness and at the beginning of enemies turn* . They (hoyoverse) know Black Swan is heavily back loaded, just like every DoT character. Usually, to fix this you can use Kafka. Because she can procs DoT *outside breaking toughness and enemies turn* . Of course, they want to sell on rate up character. But, not everyone has Kafka. So how to sell Black Swan on her own without Kafka? Just make the enemies faster (3). Without this turbulence, I'm sure she can still clear it on her own. But the difference is pretty huge eh? Your Black Swan team is 30%-50% stronger if you have Kafka.

Good to know I have another viable Dps for MOC. That means I don’t have to pull for blade and I can run dots on two different stages. That also means the 4 star dot unit’s don’t have to sit on the bench.

For real. Bros not even mentioning he threw everything into atk. Hell I'm at 2.3k with 119 ehr/err/penachony. If I can get my dead stats into spd my bs could very well reliably two turn ult.

Failed to get Kafka on both banners. Had zero intention of pulling for Swan. Until I played her trial. Really enjoyed her gimmick! I also have e6 Guinaifen and Sampo, so she has supports. I ended up using the wishes from the shop (with the standard light cones) to get her e1, since it is pretty broken. I'm in the process of getting her all levelled and can't wait to try her out. Thanks for the Tingyun advice 👍🏻

Honestly if he just put Kafka there she would have cleared faster by 2 cycles, and that’s a fact. Plus, Kafka works against any weakness while sampo will only perform decently against wind weak enemies.

Gotta say her performance have some similarities with JY. - backloaded dmg - S1 give huge boost But the difference is, at this point most of ppl already have deep understanding about the game, have their support/complimentary unit for BS ready, no one hyping her will be better than previous unit, and ofcourse ppl downbad bcs of the “mommy” vibe.

Her dots hit so hard its insane, i think she will work well with any future dot unit, especially a unit that maybe increased stack rate or something like that. shes just so fun!

@@Kspice9000 kafka increases as much stack as an e4 sampo can, obviously kafka shine much more in aoe with her ult, but if we are only talking about stacking arcana in MoC then sampo or kafka stack all the same for the most part

Great video, Smack. I think you also forgot to mention that Sampo’s E4 is also exploding a % of Black Swan’s damage due to it being Wind Shear as well (at the very least if they have Epiphany debuff)

I don't have Kafka, but after a bit of back and forth I still pulled Black Swan (my concern was exactly that she wouldn't be very good without Kafka). I have yet to finish building Black Swan, but I intend to mainly use her with Guinaifen for the time being. Once Kafka reruns again, I will still pull for her, because she will definitely make the team even stronger, but from what I've seen so far, Black Swan on her own is just fine. I would say Kafka to Black Swan is basically like Silver Wolf to Seele, or Topaz to Dr. Ratio. They work perfectly fine and can clear anything without their respective BiS amplifier, but they obviously get even stronger if you have them.

If you confused why Sampo deal so much damage in this showcase, Arcana count as all dot debuff so E4 Sampo skill can explode her arcana just like how Kafka skill can. also, Luka E6 enhance punch and little Gui ult can explode arcana as well. (tested it myself on little Gui,Luka and i can clearly see green damage which is clearly not their damage type)

Hello sir Gahca Smack. Idk how but i managed to get my ruan mei to 150 speed. I mainly user her in my DoT teamw ith kafka blackswan and fuxaun(dont have scooby doo). The team rotation is ruan mei first,blackswan, kafka and THEN fu xuan. I think my ruan mie's pseed is a bit overkill but i like how she goes first and being able to buff everyone before the DoTs explode. i have have her on 2 piece theif and 2 piece watchmaker and for sphere im using Talia. Her total stats are 150 speed, 210% break effect and 2k def. Tell me if i should change my ruan meis build to a slower ruan mei or i should keep it that way.

black swan exceeded my expectations, went from about 35k vs yanqing on pf 4 with my kafka team to beating it with 40k with 2 full cycles left after adding black swan, although as shown in the video i can still see a great potential for her even without kafka

I made the decision after doing BS trail that i dont need her. I saw that she was technically a DPS. But im fine eith Kafka. Plus, i tryna save for Fu Xuan's rerun, hopefully next patch.

Those speed rolls are insane my guy! I couldn't get the necessary rolls, so i opted for a speed built. My BS has 154 speed, 132 ehr, and a bit over 3k attack. I use her in a team with Kafka, Ruan Mei, and Huo Huo. My Ruan Mei is E2 with her LC because i got very lucky, and i also got Huo Huo's LC. I really like this team. My other team is Fu Xuan, Pela, Jingliu, and Bronya/Tingyun. Bronya has her LC and she's E2. All the other 5*s are E0 and my 4*s are E6. I wanted to ask you if it's better for Kafka to be faster than BS. I really wanted both of them to have at least 150 speed so that together with RM's they would get to at least 160 for the full dmg buff of the 4piece relic set. My Kafka has 144 spd rn, no luck with speed rolls and i couldn't get her LC. I'm a light spender after all. Both of them are over 160 speed with Huo Huo 4piece set though tbh. I just can't have Kafka being faster without messing up my BS.

Yo smack would u be able to make a short breaking down how to use black swan, why u use certain attacks first or after. I saw u basic attack with black swan when u had 4 skillpoints made me wonder as well.

you put the exact relics on her. I knew she didn't need an wind DMG sphere and what for when its clearly ok in her kit and I've been waiting to put this gold EHR body relic on somebody and her basic ATK is very useful in her kit.

I have used black swan with kafka and yes its real good but i have also used her with e5 sampo (i still dont have e6 sampo), its also quite good, so if you have e4 sampo you can use her, but like every other dot unit, you must not think of her as a hypercarry so you must not think of running her solo, cuz then getting arcana stacks is super slow no matter how fast the black swan is, she is super usable as long as there is another unit that can apply dots tbh

Thankyou for relics showcase and giving us ideas :) I used Kafka Bs Tingyun Guinaifen on that stage, 0 cycled it. But my relics on bs are still weak, 2700 atk, spd is a bit to high. I couldnt use ruan mei here simply cos my part 1 is bad build, so without mei they need 7 cycles, with mei its 2. But I can say that more diferent elements you got, more stacks she do. I cant do anymore relatable tests cos since then I got e2 and it is so broken. So fast she go to like 40+ stacks and does some abnormal damage. Hope to get lc with patch stellers and make her complete. Call me crazy but my team atm is E2S1 Kafka, E1S1 Mei, E2 Swan and E6 Gui. I like how it combines 3 elements. Rainbow dots haha Anyways she can be used solo as I always said. But I love to use em together cos its like a game cheat haha

Would an er rope and silver wolf event lc help with getting her ult up faster and still be viable for a kafka team😭 or am I burning the kitchen 😭

The only thing you need for Black Swan's DoT to work is a character that can trigger the DoTs on enemies manually, wich is something every single DoT unit (exept Serval) can do.

Good lord those attack boots were beautiful lol 11 speed. 🎉 My black swan is e1 136 speed 121 ehr with resolution lightcone s5 for support 😂 support swan reporting for duty ! Also her e1 when you ult becomes a resistance shred for physical lightning fire and wind regardless of having anyone else. This was something I overlooked when getting e1 and it makes her support utility much higher.

Is the EHR of Sampo Break Effect not necessary?

I pulled Black Swan because she enables Sampo which I desperately want to play since I started playing. Now I have a DoT team and I get to play Sampo.

I think the BS/RM/Kafka comp is the best under most circumstances but she can certainly put in work without them. I agree Tingyun can do a lot for BS but I have to wonder if you are dropping sustain is it worth just going for 3 dot characters + RM at that point. If not then once we have another limited 5 star dot character it might be worth considering. I suppose sp might become an issue but RM is positive and most dot characters besides kafka can be played neutral/positive. Iunno maybe Tingyun really is just the way to go.

I do really want to pull for her, but sparkle would overall help my account more and cause I don't really feel like swiping for both atm.

While I do agree that Kafka isn't a must the alternatives aren't really that viable, getting an E6 Sampo or an E6 Luka and also E1 RM to get comparable damage can't be easier than getting E0 Kafka and E0 Black Swan, sure if you already have the pieces then you can make it work like pretty much everything in this game. But I mostly blame Hoyo for putting Kafka's rerun right behind Black Swan's banner that was just diabolical.

Unless you're speedrunning for the flex, the alternatives are fine.. I also don't see how it's easier to pull 3 5 stars on concurrent banners than it is to get at least E4 on the 4 stars that were featured on said banners

@@grammysworld5449 e1 ruan mei + e0 black swan = 3 5 star characters E0 kafka + E0 Black Swan + E0 Ruan mei = 3 characters. its the same, the problem is when you make it seem like she doesn't need a limited 5 star to be cracked and run her with Ruan mei E1, which is the single most cracked e1 in the game. It's also not just e4 on these characters, he has max super imposition on all their lightcones, tingyun e6 btw (not e4), has s5 dance dance dance, thats like a baby bronya on ult, in addition to the energy. What he did was impressive, but its the same amount of investment (pull wise, arguably more) to use this team, over kafka, Rm, bs and a lynx

@@regail7143 I never said anything about her needing or not needing anything to be cracked.. I'm just saying the average player probably doesn't have all 3.. I'm testing her now and she seems passable without (Kafka who I couldn't pull on due to circumstances but have on my alt).. Maybe it's just me, I've never really went for the optimal build in PVE games because it's not needed.. She isn't absolutely busted without them I know, but she still seems good without Kafka.. Only my personal experience as a DOT player. She seems a bit mid without Ruan Mei, but that's pretty much all DOT characters. Can't really argue your 2nd point because I pull on LC banners alot so I have a bunch of S3-5s.. Unless you're winning most 50-50s and getting terrible luck on the featured 4 stars, I just don't see how it's easier to have 3 5 stars than 1-2 4 stars with dupes that were featured on the banners those 5 stars came on.. You don't need E6 4 stars either from my and other DOT players testing to get a good run as DOT players aren't trying to 0 or 1 cycle. Again, just based on my own experience having no issues with her viability while running a bunch of E3-4 4stars with her.. Sorry for the long comment

@@grammysworld5449 5* are guaranteed to be obtained. 4* aren't. In my Personal experience it took me 69 pulls to get E0 Luka on Kafka's first run, and I got her in the first 20. It took me 118 pulls to get E0 Lynx back in FX's first banner in which I got E0 FX and E0 Gepard. I have seen people get E1 Black Swan before E2 Misha. Are you mean to tell me that getting E4 or 6 of a 4* is easier/less resource heavy than getting two or three 5*? And we aren't even talking about having to go out of your way to not pull for characters to get LCs. Tell me, which is easier/less resource draining?
