I’m sticking to my black rice water, coffee and tea rinses. I mix them with aloe vera juice and acv. My hair is thriving. I will also use onion water as a pre-poo treatment to help grow my edges back. I eat healthier and drink more water as well. It’s more important to eat healthier and drink more water than anything you can put on your hair.

I agree. Don't forget to nourish the inside of your. I think that may be that may be reason some of us (including myself) aren't seeing the wanted results after doing all the external hair remedies. Also, ladies let's drink more water and limit the soda and other sugary drinks.

Do you use the store bought aloe Vera juice? I also have been prepooing with onion diy before washing! I also have been using a green tea diy, but haven’t gotten the results I wanted yet. I may just stick to the onion diy and maybe try black rice diy.

Hey Curly Chemistry! What a refreshing breath of air this vid is! You seriously break down the chemistry of how it works.. majorly impressive. I'm a 56 yo Caucasian woman, and have dealt with severe hair loss due to hormonal effects of the stages of menopause. I was actually cued into fermented black rice water by an acquaintance of mine. I have been watching rice water videos for a while, but since I only had forbidden rice I was reluctant to try it, two weeks ago I decided to give it a go, so I mixed the rice water and fenugreek seeds to make the water and added Aloe Vera juice. My hair is currently in a protective style, I did notice that I have great new growth. I also added fenugreek powder to my Shea Moisture hair creme. Will keep you posted once I take my hair out next week to wash it.

Hey, thank you for this video. How do you prepare the black rice water. I also wonder if that colors your hair. I would like to use it to cover the few grey hairs I got, if possible. 😊

Try it! I forgot to mention that some flavonoids have been shown to form new hair follicles so I think it's definitely worth trying! Try it for 2-4 weeks to see if you notice a difference. :-)

Curly Chemistry can you do a video about flavonoids that have been known to generate new hair follicles. That would be awesome 👏

Black rice water sounds like it might be good for low porosity hair. I find that humectants aren't good for my high porosity hair. I will stick to my Jasmine rice which works for me. Thanks for the info! I always love your videos.

C.C. you are wonderful. I use black rice water and love it. I also like that it makes my hair darker. It stains though.

Would really like to know how to actual use this rice water. Like will it harm my scalp or hair if not rinsed out? How long should it ferment? How long can I keep the leftover water? I’ve heard so many versions 🤔🤔🤔

I had to give black rice water a good go before commenting. I have 12 yo locs and suffer from alopecia areata. Since 13 yo. I only have a small bald patch at my hairline on the right. My other larger patches on both sides are full of hair. However they do not grow more than mm. I tried brw to see if it helps. I have had a little more length. But I have noticed that its excellent at building protein in to the actual locs. I just don't understand why my patches seem stuck short. They used to grow back normally. But have both just been short for years. I was really hoping this might help. I dermaroll and use nutrients internally. I honestly am at the end of my tether. AA is such an unpredictable disorder. I appreciate your videos. I just can't seem to find the key. Although I believe my hair growth cycle is at fault thanks to your help
