The sound engineers at KEXP are special. Literally every band that performs can guarantee a spot on sound, but this... This is fantastic. Brilliant band!

Good discovery, i am 53 and i like their mix of jazz, swing, 70's and More. Success for black pumas.

This band has the right amount of funk, the right amount of soul and the right amount of rock. ... if this band was food for my ears, then they're delicious!!!

This bassist is such an underrated hero..Rarely shown on camera but damn does he put the groove on!

When you can clearly hear the bass in a song, it moves the song into a different level when you’re listening.

Black Pumas is exactly what modern music lacked. Now that they are here we can all sleep in peace

October 33 has to be one of the most bad ass songs ever written. Thats one deep haunting groove in there, and when the girls come in with "may love bring you to your feet again, love show you how to dream again"....good god! Stunning.

wow, what an incredible soulful voice and band.....rare rare rare....

I want to thank KEXP for turning me on to so much good new music. This might be my favorite session of all. Black Pumas are so good it's ridiculous. When this style of 60s-70s rare groove soul is played well, nothing can top it.

I know exactly what you mean, it’s amazing how much a artist/song can just touch your soul to the core & all you can do is just shed tears from how much a song can just make you feel 💯

This band is on fire. Some beautiful harmonies and sounds. Adrian's solo during Colors is very soulful.

I have never heard of Black Pumas before, but my jaw hit the floor at the first chorus of Black Moon Rising. They're soulful, jazzy, funky, and with that "haunting" bluesy sound all at the same time. These guys are good.

I love them so much. They bring back that funk / soul from the 60s and 70s that is missing in so much music today.

There is so much talent in this band, everyone is just amazing, and combined together are a musical force to be reckoned with.

Thankful for KEXP's venue. Love the Black Pumas! About 5 years ago, a small (5-week old) black kitten wandered into our yard one day and clearly communicated that he wanted to live with us. Damn what a powerful voice!

I was blasting Colors while driving with my wife from Maryland to NY, after an interview for a job that would change our lives forever. The NYC streets were empty because of this virus that was starting to spread. Little did I know that the virus would take away that opportunity and change our lives forever in quite a different way. Damn you, virus. 3 years later she has a job at Stanford and I'll hopefully join her soon. Thank you, virus? One thing didn't change, this band is still awesome.

We gotta get Eric a professional eye glass cleaner assistant;) As someone who needs glasses to see, can't stand dirty lenses, or even talking to someone else with dirty lenses! I get full body goosebumps when the great buildup of the song Colors releases in the refrain and the voices of the amazing background vocalists kick in. That is just pure art. What a great band! Can't wait when Covid is history and I get to see them live!
