The storyline should be where Doom kills Shuri. Hence young T'Challa inherits the Throne and becomes the new King of Wakanda. He should not be part of the Young Avengers... why... because he's the King of a Nation and that needs to be established. Where the new Black Panther has to thwart and protect Wakanda from the Dooms attacks and possible takeover. He allies with Namor to fight Doom and his forces. That would be a great plot and turmoil for BP III.

The material still exists, if Chadwick Bozeman was everything that I believed him to be, if it were in his power he'd have recast the role himself by now. Think about it for one minute, who did he inform about his terminal Cancer diagnosis? That would suggest that he didn't want all the fuss that he knew would come in sympathy as a result from his impending death. We mourned his passing, now we should honor his memory by recasting the role intact as he left it. In the Comic book world, all things are possible, it's time to live up to that truth.

I feel the same way with shuri. She's always been my black panther, and I loved seeing her in the suit, but wish she had a full movie of being black panther and not a movie of not wanting to be BP just to come through in the final hour. But if the next movie gives it back to tchalla, at least i had my shuri moment

@@clous081But a lot of that reason was because she never wanted that title. T’challa was always going to be groomed to be king and Panther eventually and pushed himself into leading. Shuri mantle was taken out of obligation once her brother passed. Her drive and ambition was around inventing not fighting.

@@clous081 But that’s kinda my point. She didn’t want to really be black panther. So manifesting some moment of suddenly making her want to fight or kill wouldn’t be true to the MCU Shuri we had up until that point. Her passion was in science and creating advancements for her people. She was never gonna gravitate to being a warrior if that’s not who she is. She was being a defender because they had no one else. But even then it was done begrudgingly. I’d rather her be true to who she is than us just getting her in the suit for the sake of it happening. Same way I never agreed with Sam Wilson being forced into the Captain America role. That’s not who he was but they needed another Cap so his arc kinda gets rehashed.

T'Challa has so many great stories from the comics is one of the reasons we wanted T'Challa recast...

The Killmonger bit serving as a guide for T'Challa junior works great and I agree that he's the most likely person to help the latter handle the loss of a father in place of bringing back Chadwick via CGI or even so-called unused footage.

As far as solo films, Black Panther movies are the ones that really hit in the MCU as far as storytelling, character, power, culture. Now that the Guardians are gone, MCU don't even understand how Wakanda focus is the biggest save right now. Black Panther has been their only movie EVER that impacted the entire world with Africa and The US made it a whole cultural celebration when it first hit. This is why you CANNOT continue these movies without T'Challa. Chadwick performance had everybody on edge and hyped. They have to capture that same essence and carefully choose the next actor. No one can be just like Chadwick of course but it has to be an actor with just as much talent and charisma...no gimmicks to bring T'Challa to life again. Notice I keep saying T'Challa because that character is so important to Wakanda, Africa, The Avengers, The X-men..Storm in particular. I love Shuri as just Shuri and that is were she is best in the movies. Plus it give her more room to be the technological genius and focus on that.

So long as they give Shuri a good send off - in some way - from being the Black Panther, then I'm open to it. Until then, Wakanda Forver was centered around her becoming the new Black Panther, so I want to see her flourish a little more in that role before a hand-off is even proposed. As soon as I saw T’Challa's son shown, I knew they were setting up The Young Avengers, and that he'd one day be the next Black Panther. Perhaps both Shuri and he could exist at the same time as heroes, though, prior to Shuri officially passing the mantle to him. Perhaps she could become like his mentor, and teach him more about his father etc. The biggest issue I have with Marvel, though, like with a lot of oher production companies, is the immature idea of: "bigger equals better!" No. Just give us a good story with some well-rounded characters. The next Avengers films don't have to be "bigger" in order to qualify them as better or progressing, they just need to be gripping and interesting - which comes from the story. The short-sighted idea of "more A-list characters and stars means a bigger film and therefore a bigger box office" is extremely limited. They should stop that now, otherwise we'll eventually end up with movies consisting of 10s scenes of some characters in order to fit into a 3hr film, or a 6+ hour film release. Give me a good story, and support it with well-rounded characters. The rest should fall into place.

MBaku will sit on the throne until young Tchalla is ready to challenge him for the title. Shuri will be the panther and train Tchalla in technology. Nakia, the Dora and other wakandans will train him in martial arts and he should speak with Killmonger in the ancestral plane. The next BP films will take the idea of "it takes a village" and run with it. Maybe Bucky will make an appearance as white wolf.

Killmonger was such an awesome Character. I cant help that i liked him better that black panther.

To me, it felt right for Killmonger to be interacting with Shuri during her period of hatred and misguided energy surrounding her family. However, it doesn't make sense to me for him to be interacting with T'Challa's son. We are way past that and should move on from that chapter.

I think Kilmonger should come back and train Young Prince T'Challa (piccolo and gohan) they can say he came from another timeline where he was actually the BP before Loki fixed everything...Shuri remain Queen and BP until end if the movie T'Challa becomes BP Shuri remain Queen and Kilmonger steps into the role that Forest Whitaker had...name the movie Black Panther: Heir to Wakanda

A simple recast would have resolved this issue. Too many great actors could have pulled it off.

Chadwick's casting was on the same level as RDJ's Ironman. He was absolutely perfect! That said there's so much more BP story to be told. Hopefully they do this right!

I absolutely would like for Storm to be introduced within the Black Panther 3 movie. I’ve said, after watching Wakanda Forever, that they will likely age up young T’Challa and have him become a teenaged Black Panther. And king of Wakanda. Just as there is a faction of fans who don’t acknowledge him as the legitimate article, I’d like Coogler to give voice to that in the movie. Wakanda has changed. Their beloved King T’Challa has died. Their Queen Mother. And Shuri has declined to become its ruler, giving the throne to M’baku. By the time T’Challa Jr is reintroduced to Wakanda, he will likely have some political resistance to his ascension. I’d like to see that story. Now back to Storm. Ideally, I’d like the MCU X-Men to be introduced as teens. And I’d like MCU to follow the Original 5 for the first X-Men movie. But before that, I’d like them to set up later recruits such as Storm, Wolverine, Gambit, and Rogue. An idea I’ve tossed around is for there to be seeds of the X-Men’s villain to be introduced via non X-Men movies. For instance X-Men villain Apocalypse has a horseman that is creating famine in Africa. This is a subplot in the Black Panther movie where Storm is introduced. She is not an X-men yet, she’s in her teens. She is living in the Serengeti, revered as goddess and trying to help combat dry lands and strange phenomena. It’s here that she meets young T’Challa. The MCU doesn’t go into detail as to what’s causing the phenomena, and they believe it to be whatever the villain of Black Panther 3 is up to. But really it’s a horseman of Apocalypse- Famine. T’Challa’s work with Storm helps him win over the heart of the people of the continent and becomes legitimate in the eyes of not just Wakanda but the affected countries in Africa. Later in a Ms Marvel movie, we get the introduction of Rogue and her famous battle with Carol where she gets her powers. In the background of that story, another horseman of Apocalypse is hinted at. So on and so forth. The big reveal of Apocalypse, doesn’t happen until the second X-Men movie. It’s at this time, Xavier recruits the mutants we’ve been previously introduced to. Much, much later down the line, there can be some development of a relationship between Storm and Black Panther. But initially, they can exist as strong interesting characters who gain respect for one another through their efforts to save Africa. Sidenote: this could be a good PR move as well. Since it’s fairly well know that the Fox folks tricked Halle Berry into thinking her Storm would have a moment like this in X-Men 3. It would be like a long made promise, finally being realized.

I remember before BP2 was released a lot of analysts expected BP2 to be more successful(including financially) with Shuri in the lead, however, it was just the opposite. There wasn't a movement like the first and the multi-viewing percentage was low(USA and international). I watched BP2 only to see how Marvel was going 'kill' off T'Challa... Marvel/Disney need T'Challa. I'm sure Marvel appeased a lot non-comic fans by not recasting T'Challa because of Chadwick, but didn't expect how many fans wanted T'Challa.

Man Emperor Kilmingor with the venom symbiote Panther armor would be way more interesting than anything they can create. Long live Emperor Kilmonger! 😎

I still say they should have just recasted T'Challa. Shuri was ok, the problem is we only got one movie with T'Challa. 😤 Now we only got one movie with Shuri. Might as call the movie series the Phantom.

I'm stoked that the MCU is FINALLY re-incorporating/re-introducing MY favorite Marvel character, Silver Surfer! I cannot wait!

also I think this Doom slow reveal thing is kind of cool where you can tie a few things back to him. like maybe you could have it that Doom was who took out OG Black Panther. also a side thing I was kind of thinking of could like She-Hulk's Titania to Dr.Doom. I know that show is very silly and based on SEVERAL comment sections and discourse out there, there is a very large amount of dislike and those who don't care for it. I kind of enjoyed the show, but acknoweldge that it could be better. anyway...the idea I had was, maybe like in Secret Wars, Dr.Doom could've been the one to have given Titania her super powers. And the one who made her a super popular influencer. Perhaps part of her original fanbase wasn't real, its actually a bunch of bot accounts on social media. But unlike the usual ones you see around now, they're way more advanced somehow. DoomBots if you will. 😁And the reason Doom made her a super powered influencer is part of some low tier export of advertising plan. Where Latveria makes a whole bunch of products and things, but nobody wants to deal with Doom, at least not directly. Or maybe they don't know about him...just yet. And if people did, they'd be freaked out. So to still get his exports out, he has Titania as his influencer/pharma rep superpowerd type to push the various products made by Latveria on social media. And give the illusion she's super popular and people not wanting to miss out, start following her and getting her stuff. And the true source of where all the products come from is either masked through shell companies or is in some kind of drop shipping distribution line. And the people that follow Titania's various accounts, Doom and his tech team get all kinds of data and detail from them, giving him extra eyes and ears in the world and into places that people wouldn't suspect. He probably still gets eyes and ears via magic and other tech stuff, but this social media web thing is for getting other types of data, and Doom wants to get a diversitifed sphere of data from different sources or something. Do you think something like that could be a conceivable plan of something he'd do and plot-line Marvel could work with?

They totally missed the boat with NOT bringing back Erik Killmonger in Black Panther 2. What a missed opportunity (and yes you could have still done the Nakia gives birth to T'challa's son if you wanted). Think about how powerful it would have been with N'Jadaka (Killmonger's Wakandan name) who was the last person to drink the real panther herb (so he has the powers naturally not through the GMO version that Shuri used) and it could have totally worked because although he was "dying" at the end of Black Panther, we never saw him ACTUALLY die. Black Panther 2 could have been about his redemption arc and trying to right his wrongs and fix his "karma" from all his sins and becoming the leader that destiny truly wanted him to be... Instead we got Vagina Forever where M'baku was the only male character and he didnt do much..

I was thinking the same! Bring a Multiverse version where he grew up with T’Challa and took over the role as BP after losing his cousin in a large battle. He gets transported to this universe after his country or world ends. This will remove a reason for him wanting to go back while also bringing a new BP who others will like into the role.

Erik should have been in BP2. The story would have been so much better to use Shuri's rage about them saving him and her brother dying. You can still have that fight and truce with Namor... you can have a multiple movie story arc, about Killmonger having to prove himself and then have him "Tony Stark" himself, at the end.

Honestly the best theory since the reveal of T'challa Jr is that somehow he gets kidnapped and lost in the quantum realm or wherever battle world may potentially take place. Thus aging him up and giving him the T'challa stories we want from the comics..

I think Doom makes sense with the loss of Kang and Secret Wars on the rise it makes sense that they would bring Doom into BP3 and then tie his story into SW. I hope MCU can get it altogether cuz MCU has had a rough go since Endgame. Always love your videos. You are one of the best out there and your explanations are so detailed and informative!

They should do a redemption arch for kill monger. He was already king for a short time. He could have been “healed” and care for by the late black panther off screen and when he died he swore to redeem himself in Chadwick’s black panthers name

Hoping they don't get "rid" of Shuri. Keeping her around would make me happy. She doesn't need to stay Black Panther. The reboot/reset shenanigans could explain the age issue for little T-Challa.

What if Killmonger became a hero and him and his cousin would actually have a friendly rivalry and be cool with each other and be OK with each other?

Definitely should've recasted. Marvel just been going downhill since Endgame.

In my opinion, they’ve messed up the whole Black Panther mythos with Wakanda Forever, so I just hope they can right the ship with a BP3.

The timeline for characters is already convoluted enough as it is

Finally, somebody agrees with me, that dating events in the MCU isn't needed. If you want dated events, read a history book. The MCU dating events, is just a hindrance to storytelling. It is a story open to fluctuations in the passing of time. Enjoy the ride.

I like Shuri as Black Panther and I am ok from mini Tchalla starting as a Young Avenger. Please don't rush into thing half-cocked. Taking time was what made the first phase of the avengers work. New Avengers has been on the air for a while now, I want that team formed Asap

This actually makes it easier for a BP/Storm relationship to happen. Initially, I thought Nakia would go evil and become the character Malice and they would do a sort of jealousy thing between her, Storm, and T'Challa (and maybe Killmonger); now, she can remain as just Nakia, and T'Challa Jr. is free to meet Storm with no controversy. Still would've loved to see a T'Challa recast after Secret Wars though

Should have just recasted T Challa when Chadwick died. The 2nd movie would have been better

Agreed. For me personally I disagree with Marvel’s decision. Alot of my care and enthusiasm transferred to Sam Wilson Captain America however rumor has it they will remind me of that decision so looks like I contemplated skipping Captain America Brave New World because of that but it’s been my most anticipated movie so I’ll just have to deal with it

Naw this way the kid can have all the interactions with fantastic for the X-men and storm and it will fit because by the time they come around he will be around teens to 20s so perfect

I might be misremembering, but didn't Colossus's sister, Illyana get sucked into some kind of time vortex and come out older? Maybe they might do something like this to age up T'challa Jr.

I just rewatched BP2 and I still cry in the beginning. Such a great tribute to Chadwick Boseman. And a very good movie about loss.

Just bring back killmonger lol. After Black panther, he's the most interesting character. So After Battle world, do a timeline where killmonger held the mantle as king, T'challa is dead some how, and his son is basically being trained/raised by killmonger. This version of killmonger is good, but still slightly crooked. So T'challa son can eventually take the crown from him after a few movies.... And his mom can be storm, why not lol. Problem solved! 😅😂

I know i have watched this intro 100x with tears in my eyes.

The first possible way (to me) for a Black Panther 3 would be this: 1st. Take a scene from Spider-Man 3: No Way Home. Dr. Strange casts a spell to make it where everyone forgets Peter Parker is Spider-Man; however, it gets screwed up and people from all reality starts coming there. So, with that in mind, make it where the new Black Panther comes from an alternate reality. In his old reality, the new T'Challa knew Spider-Man's identity, but only after Dr. Strange fixes the spell does the new T'Challa gets stuck in their reality. From there, he finds Wakanda but due to the fact he is the same Kilmonger (The actor and not evil, but good), everyone treats him like shit despite the fact that he is the king from his time line. Shuri tries to understand his view and so does M'Baku but it isn't easy. From there, they can introduce Dr. Doom. The movie ends on two positive notes: First, a new king is presented to mentor the young T'Challa, Wakanda finds the source of vibranium deep in space, and lastly, Dr. Doom sets his plans in motion to invade Wakanda. This is just an idea, but correct me and add on more to it if you see this as a possibility for a movie. 2nd: The movie is set with Shuri passing the mantle to the young King T'Challa and telling her Nakia that there will be a new Black Panther one day. From there, years go by and we see an new T'Challa married to Storm and keep Wakanda safe until Dr. Doom attacks with the new Avengers coming to help, but new T'Challa was warned before hand that most outsiders are to not be trusted so easily. Throughout the movie, new T'Challa does what he can to stop Dr. Doom with the help of the new Avengers. Right now, this is all off my head, but i hope others add on to it or present better stories than what I hope will happen.

Would’ve been nice to see Chadwick and Deadpool 😢

I’d prefer to see a Bashenga movie or two, that would give them time to age up T’Challa and also give the origin story, which would be a win win IMO

the DoomWar solution does seem like an interesting idea, but kind oooooofy as far as taking out all their Vibranium. i'd be be curious as to how they'd survive and be on top without it. and i'm kind of curious how Wakanda got back on-top in the comics after BP made all the vibranium inert.

During Doom War it was only the refined and processed vibranium that was affected not the unrefined vibrium in the great mound.

Why don’t they just do it with a Black Panther from another universe? Doom doesn’t have to be from 616 and neither does Black Panther. Do that and they won’t have to worry about aging up a super young T’chala

@@emergencyawesome fair enough. but it makes sense that since they don't know fully how they'll be doing Doom and all that and need to gage how things turn out with this Fantastic Four, it makes sense they they won't cast a major person as Doom just yet. And will go with a replaceable person for now to mostly just be there in the armor or say one or two lines. But not doing anything major yet.

I think that if they go with Killmonger being a bit of a mentor opens up a interesting battle for him to accept and grow strong from. I enjoyed Killmongers chracter and I like a good villan.

7:51 (Son is the new Black Panther) i kind of see what they went for there i felt mixed and weird on it but i think i'm ok with this approach and choice from what I saw note and thought-wise after Boseman died, the creative team was shaken up and they were in mourning in trying to figure something out as well as under the whole Pandemic. So the whole compilation of 2020 stuff happening probably influenced stuff and caused them to make the choice they did. Especially considering they were in a hindsight 20-20 where if they chose a new Black Panther this soon and replaced him there might be some kind of mass comparison of him to Boseman rather than giving the new guy a chance. Vs what they ended up doing, the movie not being up to what they originally wanted and people yelling at them for not just replacing BP with a new actor. I'd be curious to see if they're going to age him up to put him with the main Avengers or have movie time pass by enough so that he could be in the relative proper age range to be in Kamala Khan's Young Avengers group.

I'll put it in Joe Biden speak so maybe you'll understand. If you are not son of T'Chaka with the history and experiences that he would possess, you ain't T'Challa anymore than LeBron James or Denzel Washington's sons are them. That's just not how these things work.

Still think they should have the recast! We can mourn Chadwick while celebrating the character he got to pioneer and portray how he acted while welcoming a newcomer to continue the popular character Chad brought to life. Just because you recast someone who passed away WAY too soon doesn’t mean we forget that person and the impact they made on pop culture as a whole.

Lil sis was a good stand in but ya, we need a new proper black Panther. They should get that dude that is the main character of the recent purge movie. That dude can kick some serious ass, he has great screen presence, the right build and he can act too. Sign him up.

I just thought of this and hear me out. I 100% agree that there shouldn’t be a cgi Chadwick when young T’Challa enters the ancestral plane to become the Black Panther. However what would be nice, especially since there is no one else he would want to see, is if they just focus on the actors face. Maybe he sheds a tear. And we the audience just wait in the temple or the lab for Young T’Challa to return. That way he gets to see his father again and Chadwick’s image doesn’t have to be cgi. It would be really nice to have that reunion. The ancestral plane is so personal and we can still see the space if they want to do that but T’Challa (the father) can be off screen and the words they share can be private.

If young T'Challa ages up fast enough he can be the Black Panther who marries Storm!

Honestly, I wouldn't have been mad if the first movie ended with Michael b Jordan winning and becoming the new black panther. Would have been perfect
