I have to say you look fantastic for your age, because I remember Monkey, Pigsy and Sandy being hugely popular in England back in the 70s when I was a child. I've been looking forward to this game based on my fond memories of Monkey and Game Science's obvious passion for the subject material. Another Asian show which was also very popular in England at the same time was The Water Margin, which I think was also based on Chinese classical literature.

Some rumor about this game on China internet , it has more than hundred bosses , and this game is the first part of the whole story .The origin navel story is too big , and the map too , so the rumor is Game science planed make this game into three part , now you see is part one . As a Chinese , I've spend serveral months to read this classic navel . The story includes so many God, creatur , nations , powerful magic item, hundreds Chinese poet and phylosiphy of Budda and Dao . So you can imagine how big is this game !

Parts of this video are like Achara read my mind. I have my eye on this magical asian monkey fighter for quite some time now and I think If they do the mythology justice, it'll be an asian God of War counterpart (EDIT: well, Asura's Wrath is one, this would be the second I guess, different dogma). I don't know much about him. The only wukong related stuff I know is that goku was inspired by him and I read some of the god of highschool comic. Regardless of my lack of knowledge though, this game looked great from the very first trailer/gameplay they showed. I don't even need to see another trailer. I'm just ready to play it!😂

Wukong is not a "fun" character. He might have been fun, pure, naive/rebellious for the first 1/5 of book, but for the rest of the book is really all about political/racial/religious conflicts, suppression and suffering. That's one of the reasons the book had been banned for a few times during Ming and Qing dynasty.

I agree with most of the things you said. Journey to the West is not a fun story. It is actually quite cruel. The TV series made it look a bit fun, but the original story is far from that.
