Cool suggestion, very smart - i applaude you. People like you would solve 1st and also 3rd world problems in the blink of an eye. BUT: Did you ever care to realize that probably not every single movie out there incorporates a dialogue with a twist like this ? because that's what this trailer is all about .. THE FUKKN TWIST.

blackelvis3030 Oh absolutely...99% of his income is the eccentric roles, its just he so good at this style, but instead of having as many dramatic roles as his dark roles, blow, brasco and now this is all thats stands out at 50+ yrs old..just think the balance is outta whack thats all..no big deal, for someone this talented with the range he has I eluded too, think he'd have alot more smash hit dramas..but again going out on limb..mite be his greatest role ever..hope Im beyond rite, this looks intense!!!

I think this is the first time since Heath Ledger's Joker that a character has legitimately unnerved me in a trailer. It doesn't even SOUND like Johnny Depp. That laugh is just creepy.

What I really love about this trailer is how quickly the atmosphere changes, from loose and relaxed to dangerous in less than ten seconds.

I was a little disappointed in the movie itself, but this trailer is amazing. Depp really captures the horror of White Bulger. I grew up near Somerville, everyone there has people they know who were affected by him. Craziest true gangster story there is, in my totally uninformed and regionally biased opinion

Just watched this movie. Johnny Depp delivered a outstanding performance. For about half way through the movie I didn't even realize it was him playing Bulger. Oscar worthy performance and a good movie

I keep coming here for one of the best trailers of all time!... Johnny was and always will be a true legend among actors!

The Melon Quaff Blue is one thing but if throughout the movie, he has contact lenses on which make his pupils look pinned (like a heroin user) it could be a distraction. Especially in low light scenes.

I loved how the entire atmosphere of the scene completely changed after that second "no".

johnny...the way he uses his face - each little move of his face muscles - and his voice...all of this is just so convincing. incredible talent, amazing actor!

TestedModz it's the eyes, Whitey Bulger had whitish hazel eyes, made your spine crawl when he stared at you, it was part of his mystique,... simply those eyes staring at you could make you piss your pants, especially if you knew he was coming for you. There are those who say Whitey killed over a hundred people, and that he was the most cold blooded killer Boston had ever seen. So, Depp has to wear contacts to pull off that stare,... and i dont know another actor of this generation who could pull this role off,... Maybe Kevin Bacon could, but then Bacon gets ignored,... He should have won an Oscar for Murder in the First

Before he had to choose some serious roles to get acclaimed as an actor and earn money. Now he's one of the best known and highest grossing actors, so he has nothing to worry about. He was pretty much doing movies for fun and because he likes it, but now he's back to remind the critics why he's considered to be one of the best.

Flopping Is A Skill I agree, I think Johnny Depp would make a pretty badass Joker, but Jared Leto is playing The Joker in the Suicide Squad movie so I don't think they're going to replace him with Johnny Depp in the JL movie since all the movies are set in the same universe. It's also confirmed that Ben Affleck's Batman is going to be in the Suicide Squad movie. He's been spotted on set and there are leaked pictures of Batman on top of Joker's car with Harley Quinn in the passenger's seat. By the looks of it though I think Jared Leto will make a good Joker too. So far the pictures of him in character look great, hopefully he does a good job.

The Ad before watching this trailer was this trailer.

I can so picture him portraying the "Joker" to immense lengths as well.

I was in Boston for quite a lot of the filming (the St Patrick's day parade scene in Lynn was amazing to see filmed) and I am so unbelievably excited to see the finished production. This looks like it is going to be an amazing performance by Johnny Depp.

I have faith in this movie.. mainly because of Benedict Cumberbatch.

Josef Hautala yes I know. Edgerton is quite good too and the rest of the cast is great but I'm more of a Cumberbatch fan. I've seen nearly all of his projects including his radio work/ stage performances and narrations and so far he has impressed me in every one of them.Which is why I'm watching this. I want to see what he brings to his character. I used to love Johnny Depp but these days he's become a bit of a parody so I'm not expecting much of him and I'm not familiar with the work of the rest of the cast.

Can't wait to watch this. That voice and those eyes draws you in so easily!

I'm never going to tell any mom's recipe ever!!!

Go get that Oscar Johnny!

I believe he will get nominated for this and the other nominees will be DiCaprio (The Revenant) Eddie Redmayne (The Danish Girl) Michael Fassbender (Steve Jobs) and Jake Gyllenhaal (Demolition)

Michael Colby I think Johnny, if the film gets raves and his performance gets raves, will be the frontrunner instead of Leo. Leo may be one if the critics are on his side and use the overdue excuse but Johnny has that overdue excuse, real life person, and comeback thing.

What a brilliant cast, hopefully depp will show people he actually has diversity and can play a variety of characters.

Josef Hautala yeah and when that first Pirates movie came out, everyone lost it and said "holy shit! Depps done it again"...not to mention, that whole bit of him only playing Sparrow now is not even true. of his past 16 starring live action films since the original Pirates, 5 of them have been Pirates and its sequels. that leaves us with 11 films. they are as follows... Secret Window (Not Sparrow) Finding Neverland (Not Sparrow) The Libertine (Not Sparrow) Sweeney Todd (Not Sparrow) Public Enemies (Not Sparrow) Alice In Wonderland (Kinda Sparrowlike) Rum Diary (Not Sparrow) Dark Shadows (Kinda Sparrow) Lone Ranger (Not Sparrow) Mortdecai (Haven't Seen It Yet) and Transcendence (Not Sparrow). Now granted, only 2 of those are actually good films (Libertine and Sweeney Todd), and i mean, good as in, i like them, not so much critics, they're pretty much all panned, but it's certainly not for a lack of diversity in roles. and yet i keep hearing this running loop of Johnny Depp can't act anymore, when it's quite obvious that its Hollywood failing Depp, not the other way around.

Josef Hautala yes, but as i said, if a movies bad then a movie is bad. and id say its a whole lot harder to go a good acting job in a bad movie than it is in a good one.

The way he says at first "You were just sayin'..." and "so, just sayin'..." at least...simply perfect 😍😍😍

If I was blindfolded and told to listen to the video I would never guess that its Johnny Depp, ever.

Trust me, this is inspired by Goodfellas, that scene was so much like the funny how scene in Goodfellas, the tension at that dinner table was thicker than the steaks being served, really liked the movie. First ever Johnny Depp performance I've actually liked, he can be a very good actor when he wants to be.

Johnny Depp is one of the finest, versatile actors and also one of the best actors who can always play menacing so well that it scares the s**t out of me.

W. O. W. I heard this movie mentioned during Johnny Depp's testimony in the Amber Heard case. I hadn't seen it, so I came here to check it out. And all I can say is W. O. W. Hollywood is doing themselves a dis-service by canceling his career on a hearsay.

I can't stop rewatchin this trailer it's so epic...and this scene is an instant classic. I wanna see this movie so bad
