The daughter of that couple is so self centered. She doesnt want to give her FATHER her kidney, and then berates him for just thinking about taking the only really viable option left. What is wrong with society?

Is there some site that you can donate directly to that kind of familiy? Site thats just connecting donors with family, and that can be trusted?

My mom has one kidney. Lost the other due to cancer. If she needed one of mine, I’m there. I cannot imagine a conversation where I said no, I’d prefer to keep all my parts. It’s hard to make a judgement on the daughter’s choice not to help her father. That’s their family dynamic. Obviously the parents would have and still would do anything for her. She couldn’t rationalize her decision. She’d have to overcome her many anxieties about surgery. Cuz that’s why she doesn’t want to do it

I don’t think it’s selfish of that daughter. She’s not obligated to give her kidney just because it’s her dad. That’s a big step for her to live her remainder of her life with.

The woman called Linda in the Philippines is a snake. Why is it always the rich versus the poor? I took organ donor off of my driver license. I watched another documentary on heart transplantation. A 75 year old man waited and received a heart. Why? Because he had the money. They showed that the heart Donor is ALIVE during the transplant surgery. I then spoke to a nurse who worked her entire career in organ transplant surgery. She said, "I won't donate nor will I receive." I am with her. I removed organ donor from my driver license. Until there is a fair way to do organ donation, I opt out. I am saved by God and will be sad but willing to go. There never will be because Greed will always win. It always does.

I am willing to donate one of my kidneys- or part of my liver. I prefer to be contacted by a medical professional but if I'm able to contribute I'll figure😢 it out myself: meaning all one my need to know about the recipient- I'll provide all needed about myself. Thanks

The only reason I wouldn’t give my parents a kidney is I had a growth that was pre-cancerous on my left kidney and they couldn’t get the whole thing because I was bleeding too much during surgery (thankfully it hasn’t devolved into cancer so far) but still I don’t trust just being left with that kidney
