Match 4 is perfect with showing us a perfectly aligned cards for the combo and opponent gratious enough to let it happen and concede once the loop was presented.

I completely forgot that last sentence existed on Fervent Champion.

Developers should really do something about these strategies involving loops, in terms of user experience. It would not be a complex feature to detect that a certain set of actions is being repeated, and get a prompt asking how many times we are intending to repeat these actions. Would save quite a lot of time and frustration for players.

No. For starters, it is complex, and for seconds, that’s part of the game. If you play in paper magic, around rule 702, no one is obligated to accept your loop, especially if it involves any decision making. Furthermore, even if arena tries to detect your loop and let you do it X Times to save you time, it takes away from your opponents ability to possibly bluff they have responses. So the system would be extremely hard to make work, and also wouldn’t be applicable to any of the competitive modes, or any mode where your opponent gets benefit from winning (so all games on arena except those past the 15 wins per day with no quests)

It’s part of the game to be able to complete game actions to win. For reference, infinite turns with Teferi emblem or infinite life do not require your opponent to concede in competitive. Amongst friends, sure, and if you’re in a friendly challenge not conceding is a waste of everyone’s time.

Furthermore, it’s a players out on arena that you misclick or mess something up too. You can scoff at that for being unsporting, but that’s the same as someone clicking through blocks and giving you a win. Everyone agrees that’s your mistake, so why shouldn’t you be similarly punished for not being able to click buttons in succession with your mouse in the correct area?

All of this applies because magic arena is rewards driven based on wins and completing game actions, so it’s on you to not mess up and give someone a win. For example, if your opponent is playing splintertwin, why shouldn’t they auto pass instead of conceding? If you misclick once, the opponent possibly gets the win.

I love these kinds of decks from LVD, just shows the love of magic I have in it as well. Glad you do these!

Infinately activating den of the bugbear over and over again to get infinate goblins on attack is also fun and fits the theme of the deck

I cant wait to see this in action!

Im at 16 minutes so I dont know if he does it later, but couldnt he just have equipped the lotus ring onto kellan to sacrifice him and get him back in hand and loop him and his sorcery side along with fervent champion to get every equipment in his deck?

kellan doesn’t have haste, and the ring gives the sac ability to the creature sadly. that would be a super sick lien if it worked tho

I think you'd need something like lavaspur boots since the ring makes one color of mana and you need red for battery and white for the adventure (assuming I'm understanding what is trying to be done here). Also the boots don't die to removal which seems pretty important.

Sword of the Realms (Halvar from Kaldheim) is a second copy of Koll, even if it needs Fervent Champion to loop. Any thoughts about it?

Definitely worth exploring, even if it is a tad more awkward to use than Koll, it's also more difficult to interact with. Could maybe replace Queen Kayla or Bugler since there's less of a need to find Koll specifically.

God, I truly missed Fervrent Champion! I played rakdos knights with Embercleave during that standard. Man, that deck was ao much fun! Awesome deck as usual Luca! Really appreciate all you do, man! 😄

Sad that we didn't get any halvar. It'd add at least a little redundancy to the Koll plan. It's slower but still goes infinite.

Definitely awkward but I still love Halvar from back during it's standard rotation. I'm not sure why, but I was really glued to equipment strategies when for quite awhile. Lol

@@LegenVD i played MTG since 1995. I think I know when something is very off in this game. It is a bait to encourage players to soend. My best bet P2W players hardly experience this issue.
