I love how people are shitting all over paul gilberts tone. Obviously you dont realize that hes purposely sounding like jimmy page. Jimmy wasnt this technically perfect shredder. He played the way he played and even though considered sloppy to todays standards it was perfect in every way and still is! Jimmy page wasnt a shredder like vai or yngwie but he wrote more guitar riffs and guitar songs then any man in his time that had that much balls! Hes a guitar god and his music still lives on today. Long live zeppelinnnnn

Those complaining about Gildenlow's high range should 1. remember that even Plant used to rewrite the melodies to perform live so it wouldn't be so high, and 2. Gildenlow is an absolute range monster with his own band Pain of Salvation, and probably just didn't want to make Zeppelin sound like Pain of Salvation by bringing in his own extremely iconic high shrieks.

Totally not what I expected - in a GOOD way ! They're playing it totally straight, without bullshit progressive embellishments we all know they are capable of. So entertaining and listenable! Best of all - they're all dressed in character, acting the part and everything! Paul is even sloppin' up the solo totally authentic! What a concept.

@rightsideofhistory says who? the best covers i've ever heard are those which artists make a song their own. why do i want to hear someone play someone else's song if it's going to sound exactly the same? that makes no sense.

I see many people spitting on Gildenlöw's voice, but let's remember He was 35 yo here and Plant's range was already gone at that age, especially live. Even though I agree Zeppelin material doesn't fit his voice very well, so I suggest you to spend some time listening to his original stuff with Pain Of Salvation!

adding time to a song doesn't make it progressive... progressive isn't made of "20 minutes songs"... that's a huge misconception on prog... the point he was trying to make is that they could add tons of technical stuff without a problem... but they decided to stick with the concept of playing led zeppelin and i've seen lots of live stuff of led... i've been listening to led zeppelin since i was able to distinguish sounds this performance here nailed it just saying.

@waterboy799 I'm all for progressive and embellishments. Hell, my main band is Rush. But for a COVER BAND, authenticity is the name of the game. You've got Paul Gilbert on guitar, for christ sakes. I was expecting Shred Zeppelin, not Led Zeppelin. No, you DON'T raise the bar in a proper tribute/cover band. You play it as if the real band was live. Just like the international touring tribute band Australian Pink Floyd. Don't screw with the songs - the fans will hate you for it.
