As a european i feel so ashamed. Something i noticed whenni was in america is when you tell people where you are from, americans try to tell you all the nicest stuff they know about your country to make you feel good. While when an american comes to europe europeans let the american usually always immediately know that they hate america and tell them everythin they DON’T LIKE about america. Makes me feel ashamed being a european.

Yea that's everywhere dude. I'm Ethiopian born and raised, but have lived in Canada for 20 years now. I can guarantee you the average Ethiopian on the street in Addis Ababa or the average Canadian citizen in Toronto or Ottawa would not say something nice about the USA. You'll have some that envy the relative lack of taxes of course, I do too, but otherwise you'll likely get very negative comments. I too would have very negative things to say, mainly from my Ethiopian lens due to USA's intrusions (bullying, bombing, supplying terrorists to fight against anti-US governments, etc) in that part of the world.

Impressive, as a child I lived in Santiago back in the early 70's, attended military school as my father worked for the United Nations and at the age of 8 I found my self speaking English, Spanish and German with a good understanding of French ... my father was excited and wanted me to become a translator for the UN. ;) grew up to be a communications engineer and worked for the government for a few years where they sent me to places that wanted to kill me every day and learned to speak Arabic, Farsi and other middle-eastern languages. The point I was getting to ever so slowly is that the older I got I still recalled a lot of the Spanish and other things I learned. I is good to see someone using their training and practicing different languages. Keep up the good work and expand your mind.

Your ability to switch is stunning. I'm always curious about polyglots. You said your dad is Nigerian, but you don't speak Yoruba. Did you grow up speaking more than one language? I only speak 2, English and French. I started learning Italian right before covid. It's a relatively easy jump, unlike, English, Spanish and Croatian. When I got frustrated with my inability to express myself in Italian, French came to me and I switched, almost involuntarily. I'm jealous. It's a super power. I followed a polyglot on Instagram. He had me going until he spoke French and I realized he was throwing a lot of gibberish in there. His accent was good, though.

I doubt there are many people speaking Croatian outside of Croatia in general, Slavic languages are just as different and diverse as most other language groups. Although Bosnian, Croatian, and Serbian are very similar, if I remember correctly (could be another countries in the Balkan/Yugoslavian area).

@@AlphaChinoz It's a shame though. I like the sound of the language. I suppose the amount of learners depends on where Croats live outside of Croatia and also the amount of learning resources available.

@@DavidMorris1984 well, I think it comes much more down to necessity. Croatia is a country with a rapidly shrinking population, and there's practically nothing to do there other than to travel - I can barely imagine one in a million would bother to learn the language for a weeklong or so visit. If I come around to start learning new languages, it will probably be more major ones (although many would consider it boring), such as French and Spanish. But one can get a lot of use out of those, compared to Croatian which is about as narrowed down as you can get it, language wise!

I have always found, those that can really afford equipment, typically lack major talent. And the genius' are the ones working with just a Mike and one string guitar. Lol. Ps. You are a genius interviewer in my humble opinion, in any language you choose. Fun video. Thanks. Fan from Cajun Louisiana. 🤗🦋🌻

Question. Been watching your vids for a lil while now. I know that this probably varies from person to person but how important is it to you to able to understand media in these languages? And do YOU understand media/movies etc with no issues in the ones you know?
