With the ongoing... situation with West Coast Railways' CDL stock Ian Riley's EX London Midland And Scottish Railway Stanier designed black 5 44871 took the stage of The Railway Touring Company's 'The Edinburgh Flyer' Railtour.
We begin at Lancastrian Road footbridge south of Cramlington station in Northumberland to see the northbound leg of the tour. With thanks to my good friend Lauren for the alternate shot above the footbridge. We finish the day at Plawsworth south of Chester Le Street for the return. Suffice to say things certainly did not go according to plan... The tour was running late hence my hope for a shot at sunset were dashed! But we made the most of the situation and managed and achieved a unique result which I'm incredibly proud of!
