BJJ Games with Rob Biernacki, How to Make Your Techniques Smooth and Instinctive with Gamification

Спорт

NEW: BJJ Games is now live on Grapplearts at www.grapplearts.com/bjj-games/! It’s one thing to learn techniques in class. It’s quite another to actually pull them off in sparring or in competition. The key to performing to your full capacity is internalising the timing and strategies behind the techniques.
And the best way to do that is through games and play.
This brand-new instructional will make your techniques fast, smooth, and instinctive by adding gamification to your training.
It features Rob Biernacki fresh off his gold medal wins at the ADCC Open and No Gi Worlds, and is the most complete instructional on the use of games and drills in the sport ever published.
This instructional includes over 6 hours of material, logically arranged onto 4 full DVDs (for physical disks) and 12 pages of videos (for the online version).
In it, you’ll get 25 different drills and games, each with different variations and difficulty levels, so that you can get excellent training regardless of the level of your training partner.
The ability to set your own level of challenge means that even if you’re a white belt training with a black belt, or a black belt training with a white belt, you’ll BOTH still get something out of this training!

I love this method, very similar to something I do in most of my classes when it comes to striking. Theme sparring is so valuable, logging time countering specific techniques, and seeing the same techniques from different people is tremendously valuable. This also makes for a great way (as is touched on in this video) to introduce beginners to sparring situations and get them comfortable with things before it's totally free flow. I also appreciate the method of not letting people play their games, super valuable.

Rob has a visiting student program in which people can train for free and have accommodation for free for a week, BUT you have to get in touch with him beforehand to make sure that there's space. Don't just show up!
