sakitech U must be in super quiet area & not using Samsung Level U Pro headset. Bixby ignores me half the time, even if I'm screaming!

Exactly what I was about to comment.. I use Bixby for phone related tasks while I use google assistant for internet related stuff.. They perfectly compliment each other. Unfortunately, every time I use my iPad Pro, I keep wishing it had Bixby + Google assistant on it.. Siri seems even more useless than Cortana on my Lumia 920 from 5 years ago..

What a great video! I have started using my Bixby Voice Assistant way more since I started following your video demonstrations. I agree with you that they both work synergistically. I've been a longtime fan please continue the good work!

For Bixby; you need to ask Bixby to go into Q&A session before you ask any web based questions for better results.

Great video... I was wondering what Bixby actually did. Yes with Bixby and Google Assistant they run rings around Siri.

Holy shit, I truly didn't know! I have been only using Ok Google for everything, and I've noticed I would get a little frustrated with google searching rather than doing a command, but it helps with calling or turning on flashlight. I always thought Bixby was the same as Ok Google, but I clearly see the difference! I own an S9+, but I was going go upgrade to the Note 10, but seeing how Bixby works in this video, you officially changed my mind to the S10+ since the note doesn't have a phone jack or Bixby button, thanks! Here's a like!

Google Assistant is a general voice assistant for multiple android phones, we cant expect it to understand features that only exist in Galaxy S**

Google assistant is different in Samsung. To get the full experience, you'll need the pixel line ups.

That's what I searched. Now I know what sense make Bixby. No blabla no useles Infos. Test to the point. Slow and correct spoken, to help not English talking peaple to understand. Perfect vid. More like this 👍👍

I would also like to see how they compare at tasks that I assume they can both do, for example navigation and making hands-free phone calls.

Having only recently tested the Bixby and the Google Assistant, I found Bixby was better in the phone setting commands and Google Assistant appeared to manage internet searches better. I think they do work well parallel. Thanks!

Bixby you rock..

Unless you can tell Bixby "take a picture then edit it and apply the filter cream then save" all as one command I cant see why it is useful having to tell it each step one at a time it takes 10 x longer than pressing the buttons yourself.

AEM dean I've only had my Note8 for about 2 wks but I BELIEVE you can set quick command and add everything you want it to do. I say sleep at night and it turns on do not disturb and ultimate power saving mode.

Christopher Lopez apparently it performs way better than the S8 phones and even gets better battery life than the S8+ despite smaller battery

Agreed each has their own ups and downs and neither of them is better of poorer than the other. They both have their own unique features

What's your opinion of choice ? As a user of all smart phone in personal which one will you prefer to buy ?

when I use Bixby I have to pause a bit and then speak for Bixby to catch what I'm saying. When I try to say a command right after saying, "hi Bixby" like you do in the video, it's too fast for Bixby to understand or hear what I said. However, when i use Google Assistant, I don't have to wait and can just speak like you do in the video. Do you know why that is? I would like to just say, "hi Bixby, open camera" instead of, "hi Bixby . . .(pause for Bixby to open) open camera".

This is great if you are disabled or have wet hands. But for the most part, the Bixby navigation commands are better served with a touch.

awesome app i love bixby i'm using s8+ i find it really handy.

I noticed that having a launcher like nova launcher will not wake the phone using Bixby, I looked at all my settings for using Bixby for waking the phone but no luck, but it works without holding button when phone is unlocked

Is there an option to do it in conversation mode? Saying hi bixby or google only once instead of every time?

Great video, thx. However, GA is better in that way it speaks Polish, while Bixby don't and I doubt it ever do :( I could live with that as long as GA can speak Polish when phone is in English language mode... Will check that in a week :)

Give it time... :) I hear Spannish is coming out, thus Polish shouldn't be too far away.

well I a SG8 and in my case Bixby voice Recognition is not even close to google and I trained it several time with no improvement. but google understands my voice very well. One thing to know I'm C4 Quadriplegic and my voice is not real strong, Bixby only understands 20% of the time but in my case 20% is better than 0%. I hope they can improve it. any tips and please don't say louder and clearer ;-) love your Videos keep it up.

I don't agree. You didn't checked Google assistant as you always do bixby. Google is easy and helps emotionally. And google always is a good hobbit when you are bored. Google is more useful for normal people . Bixby is slow. It does so much stuff but I believe that most of them are never being used.google helps for information and it feels like its a person! Googles voice is softer and its so fun to use. I was so exited when I bought Galaxy S8 for bixby but I got disappointed.I did. Really. Thanks Love your page.

Ik this was last year, but wanted to point out you forgot to mention google assistant can play games with user like soundpet and mad libs. In my opinion, that gives ga major brownie points

what is the name of your phone cover ??

I am struggling with Bixby in terms of calling name say to text or call, being in Asia some names are just not as common as "John" or "Tina". I found Siri a lot more accurate with Asian names. Not sure if its just me.

Once Bixby 2.0 comes out, struggles like that won't be as much.

Wish we could ask all these Assistance by saying Bixby, open whatever. Tired of Ok Google, Hi Bixby. Better yet, lets name them our own unique names. Imagine, Hi Doggy, open settings.

bixby is better on controlling your phone, google is better on searching things up, and it can hear and understand what you said. bixby sometimes struggle when i call her from a distance. and it sometimes cant understand and hear what im saying. i said "hi bixby, turn all of my alarms on" and she heard "Turn off my alarms on" and i have to speak loud and clear. i (i just got braces and i have struggle talking) google can undertstand what im saying more. i prefer google since it's more useful, but if your really lazy and left your phone 1 meter away from you, bixby can be good. but if your really busy like doing homework, google can be better.

I had your video playing loud on my Samsung s8 and at several occasions, the video paused and Google Assistant started having picked on your OK Google hotword.
