Jarod is incorrect. The ruck had been formed(obviously) but the ball was in the open and Plessis came in SUPPORTING HIS OWN WEIGHT, reached in and slipped out before that speeding bullet comes in at the end

Ball wasn't in the open and the ruck was formed he had no right to put his hands on that ball...weak refereeing.
