I look every time these highlights when I need motivation and I wonder if it can get better? We as South Africans are so fortunate to have these moments from our fantastic Springboks to motivate us to do better. Really this s still unreal to me!!

That inside outside move vs England from Arendse looks so beautiful from the original reverse angle! I'm so happy for our two wingers, even though they are small they can punish you from anywhere on the field and Arendse is just a try scoring machine!!

If you see a South African man crying it is probably because he has just watched the final whistle of the 23 RWC again.

2 things to take from this.. Lose a pool game and U can still win.. Facing the hardest road and U can still come out on top.. 2 teams and ONLY 2 teams capable of that.. SA and NZ.. U can’t even pick a dream side between the 2 to take on the northern hemisphere.. Both sides are just that good that any one of them can beat the best NH team on their own.. It’s goosebump stuff watching these 2 teams play against anyone else and even more so when they play each other.. I’m getting on 50 this year and it is still a bucket list event year on year to secure rugby tickets for when they face off.. I have around 20 buckets ticked off and hopefully I can do a few more before time’s up..

@@bazsturgeon3017 not being bitter at all. i’m a bok fan since birth. but we have very few of the best players left, but that doesn’t mean that the team isn’t the best. having a team that is full of very good players instead of one or two of the worlds best is great. and when the newer players eventually reach the best in the world level, like moodie and libbok and williams. then this team will be unbeatable.

Boks could well win a 5th world cup in 2027, they would not be considered the best rugby side of the world. Why? Because there are wins and ways to win. That's why Boks are often rated as the Germany or Italy of Rugby. Some teams stay in the Wikipedias, others in the memories.

In that regard, South Africa could well win 3 others cups, nobody would remember the content. I perfectly respect South-Africa approach of rugby, but don't ask to be loved for that, sorry. Rugby is about fine margins. If we are totally honest, France and Ireland were by far the 2 best rugby sides of the RWC 2023 and 4 last years, certainly not SA, Nz or England... And only a bad draw, bad luck, bad bounce and few bad ref decisions changed that scenario. That's why i wish France or Ireland will win it in 3 years, Rugby needs a real shake.

I think every other team thinks back on the days before the Springboks were allowed to play international rugby and partly wish we would go back to that. Maybe a little bit. I doubt they would really want us out completely but are probably at a loss as to how to fight back. The combination of Rassie Erasmus and the Springboks is clearly too much for the rugby world who are only ever able to just hang on to the coat tails.

Why the irritating music ?

Great highlights reel, but they lost half of these games, although that fact is not highlighted, still 3-0 down to Ireland and even if SA win the 2 tests on home ground at altitude, it's still 3-2. The only game on neutral ground between the 2 was won by Ireland, clearly a great team, but absolutely beatable.

Actually, SA and Ireland have played 28 times... 18 won by the Boks, 9 by Ireland and 1 draw. Have you only been watching for a few years? Ireland are an exceptional team at the moment, and look to have the structures in place to be a force for many years to come, it remains to be seen how they will fare in the series later this year... cant wait.

@@Shamankzn No! I was at the first meeting in Belfast in 1906, close game but SA just edged it, but I am sure you remember it well being a rugby expert. I didn't make it to Dublin in 1931, boks won 3 - 8, another close one, and then our first win in 1965, I am sure you remember it well, Irealands one and only win for nearly 100 years against a rugby giant. But things are different now, since 2004, Ireland have won 8 from 12 meetings, so no matter what happens in July, Ireland are still ahead in the modern era.

@Shamankzn Ireland have also only won 1 game ever in SA, and that was against the Springboks at their lowest point in 2016. I think that was the same year Springboks lost to Italy as well. All of Irelands other victories were at their homeground and then that one neutral ground in the World Cup.

@Blindside_Flanker At the 2003 and 2011 WCups, SA were knocked out at the quarters, in 2015 they narrowly lost in the semi's, you had Brian Habana and most of the players who won in 2019/23, so hardly your lowest point. Clearly 2003 was the lowest point.
