Hey y’all, great video. So for the Arizonas I don’t need insoles?

Arizona owner here - nope! All the Birkenstock sandals (Arizona, Boston, Milano etc) come with that great orthopedic cork footbed - matter of fact, they're just 3 parts: rubber sole, cork footber with a suede layer for comfort underfoot, and the leather or BirkoFlor (proprietary synthetic material) upper/straps. It's one of those products that (so far) is still as good as advertised, definitely recommended - make sure you get the right size and fit tho!

@@GabrielMisfire I never came back to this, but I got myself a pair of the Rugged version of the Arizonas! Break-in time was 3 days, but now I'm super happy with them. First time Birkenstock buyer and I now see why everybody loves them

I see everyone is talking about the soles but I'm not understanding i have a half cut and not sure if I'm supposed to remove the sole or put the sole in without removing sole

Best option for a workbook? How do you prevent them from moving around especially if you don't use full support?

If your boots have a liner, you can leave the liner in and put the insert over the top. Usually once your foot is in place, the insert shouldn't move around. We do have a few customers that use 3M strips or velcro to hold them in place. With the velcro you can move the insert to different shoes.

Is it normal to feel a bit of bump on the BirkoContact Sport insole where the plastic support ends? I've only wear them for 3 hours so I'm not sure if it will go away but it bothers me and it gets painful after a bit

I can't walk barefoot and haven't for years but in not being taught to do ankle and toe exercises and just wearing arch supports by too many doctors my feet got weaker and worse, please don't tell people never to go barefoot - that's for a Dr. or PT to advise, because God made us to walk on bare feet - just my 2 cents :) Thank you for the video! Very informative!

i agree with you somewhat but hard floors in homes are much different than the terrain humans were evolved to walk on allll dayy long , year after year (which would be soft and forgiving soil, sand, etc - with the exception of rock which isn't found everywhere anyway). there is no shock absorption on hard floors /concrete thus we take much of the brunt of this and thats when we begin experiencing foot issues. but i walk barefoot outside all the time as often as i can in the grass and sand!

@@emily-gh9ox Hey there, I've gotta say you guys actually answer your comments - thank you!! And I have to admit I'm ashamed of my comment a little as I never even thought about how we as humans USED to walk - we didn't have concrete and tile floors...you're so right! I am understanding alot better now - and I thank you guys for your hard work making these videos - nobody else is as thorough! :)

So the 3/4 arch support goes over the shoe's insole? I have Brooks Ghost running shoes. They hurt the arch and heel of one foot. Every sneaker I've tried does actually. I want to try the Birkenstock insoles because my Birkenstocks are the only shoes that are completely comfortable to my feet. But, my shoes do already have arch support. Does that mean I can't use the 3/4 insert? I want cork not plastic. I like how the cork foot beds conform to my foot shape. The only comfort shoes store near me is not trustworthy. They are trained to sell their own brand arch support to very customer, even when they do not need it. They tried to convince me that Birks are bad for feet. I don't trust them enough to ask for advice anymore.

Hello. Many of the brands the technology isn't in the arch support it's in the general construction of the shoe and what it can do. Most shoes have a liner. You can try the Birkenstock Blue footbed in your shoes and see how it goes. The casual or sport would probably be the best model as it would simulate the classic sandal footbed more. www.desertbirkenstock.com/product-page/birkenstock-blue-footbed-sport-casual I hope that helps a little. Generally you would but a 9 insert. If possible to come into the store - or a store near you - to try them one that is always best. Sometimes the one you buy is not the one you came in for. - Amy
