"My favourite bird is the bird right in front of me." I love that. I think we can get so wrapped up in photographing specific subjects, that we often miss what's right in front of us!

Kingfishers are a lot like hummingbirds, as they have a definite pattern of stops during their active day. Keep watching that guy and eventually he will return to that branch. Beautiful duck photos!!!

Just brilliant, thanks for sharing, the Kingfisher probably isn't going anywhere so a great reason to return. I often find my self shooting 'common' birds too...just for the fun of it.

😍 I enjoyed the ducks also. Specially those with that huge white plumage on the back of the head, looks like they’re wearing a high speed biking helmet. We don’t have that species where I live. And man, what’s that for an interesting plate-tripod construction? Never saw something similar before.

An effective use of my time! You bring into perspective the reason we are drawn to this hobby like moths to a flame. Your video matched the peacefulness of photographing ducks in a pond so it grabbed my attention like a moth to a flame, just like being there! Great job, keep it up, I look for them every week!

Well you certainly notice the shorter days this time of year ! Lucky to be able to pop out whenever the light is good ! You certainly have to maximise your opportunities. Great video love accessible wildlife !👍😍

Definitely a challenge! But plenty enough time on the weekends to get out and explore.

I've always said time is our biggest asset we have as photographers. It's the one thing we neglect the most. Often times the boring subjects bring less stress and far more enjoyment. Got some great shots of those geese. Thanks josh, for a great reminder of something we all struggle with. Cheers brother.

I love the waterfowl taking flight, the light, colors and water droplets are awesome. Our Kingfishers are one of the most skittish birds I have seen. One hard bird to capture. Hard to get close. When I get a close shot of a Kingfisher, I feel like I won the lottery lol Thx again.
