Bird Photography in the Norwegian Mountains!

We are on a trip to do Wildlife and Bird Photography in the norwegian mountains. My main goal in this episode is to photograph the european golden plover. Join a WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER in the field and behind the scenes while I capture all footage with my Nikon Z6 and Z50. This is my first trip to Dovrefjell in summer since 2020, and I got full two days just with the birds alone.
🐺 ABOUT THIS VIDEO
Being high in the mountains in Summer with the long days and beautiful sunrises is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. You just feel right at home.
DOVREFJELL is a place where you can find real inhabitants of THE WILD NORTH like the mighty MUSKOX or giant bull MOOSE. This year I am returning to Dovrefjell along all seasons to record a bit of everything for a greater collection of material. Especially in Summer, you get the opportunity to photograph a lot of birds that come as soon as the mountains wake up in spring.
The Muskoxen on the other hand has lived on Dovrefjell in ancient times and has only recently made its return by reintroduction from Greenland, twice. May time show if the precious ecosystem that has found its place here, survives the threats of the years to come.

Thank you, Pau. I just came back from Dovrefjell again, and I must say I missed the birds. Next year without covid (hopefully) I will do more trips to record different ones. Can’t wait, feeling like getting into the flow!

Gorgeous footage and great images of the golden plover, but aw man, that's such a sinking feeling when you find you don't have a working stove! I once had a similar situation where I discovered that a totally new / full gas cylinder just refused to supply any gas due to a faulty seal - no amount of fire lighting options could have saved that :/ Hope you got it working since then - usually they just have a bit of dirt on them and don't spark... Also, I would recommend taking a fire-steel - rugged, good for lighting stuff and doesn't matter if it gets wet!

Yeah :D It is working in the next episode, so I did not have to starve in the end. Matches are normally my safetynet, but I often show signs of Gunnalzheimer. I will get a flintstone or something for the future :)
