You should come to UGANDA 🇺🇬 home to 11% of the world's birds species that is (1078) bird species,50% of Africa's bird species and 78% of East Africa's bird species because of Catchment areas like swamps ( The MABAMBA swamps where you find the endengered 'shoeBill stork'), its bio diversity ,flora and fauna, Even though Uganda is crossed by the equator Uganda is one of the top 10 countries with best weather with it's highest point being 5,109m above sea level and the. Lowest point being 622m Since it's located in the East Africa it's largely has both the East Africa's grass lands and the Tropical Rain forests next to Congo Uganda has the Big 7 that is the big cats, rhino, Elephants and a plus the Giraffe s and in the it's tropical rain forest (Bwindi impenetrable forest) we find the high land gorilla and primates like the chimpazi in the wild so your welcome to UGANDA 🇺🇬 the pearl of Africa 🌍

Stefano Ianiro Wildlife Yep, been doing a lot of testing and I barely get usable images, unless I’m super close, you can see in my swans video... I’m using the canon 500mm f4, so should definitely be getting better results, Yeah they should have done that and even gone mirrorless.
@StefanoIaniro
4 жыл бұрын
@@CJamesPhoto I'll definitely check the vid out tonight. I'm hoping Canon starts pushing the boundaries when it comes to their mirrorless systems. A 7Diii as a mirrorless camera would be pretty neat. I would love to try that! My first real wildlife camera was the original 7D and I loved that camera. Fingers crossed!
Hi Stefano, I'm loving your work. you inspire me. got two questions: what tripod and head do you use when birding? links to products please. Also where in Ecuador is this birding place? links to the place. thanks you
Man, the photos are spectacular! Just subscribed yesterday :) I now also own this camera combo and looking forward to testing it out in the next coming weeks. Are you still using the A7rIV with 200-600?
I just visited your channel for the first time today and became spellbound with the images. I myself shoot birds. Subscribing.
@StefanoIaniro
4 жыл бұрын
Wow, thank you so much 🙂
I'm just impressed of these beautiful birds and of this well made video. It could make me visit Ecuador in the future too :) My question is how these slow shutter speeds are possible? I have the 200-600 mm too and I'm using it with the A7 III. And if I set the focal length too 600 mm I set the shutter speed at least to 1/640 or faster, mostly 1/800 or 1/1000 for safety for a sitting bird, because it would be annoying to see blurred pictures at home on the PC. But ok, I shoot freehand, you mostly shot with a tripod. But birds are moving all the time too, so how are your shutter speeds of 1/200, 1/250 or even 1/50 possible? Are you not scared that the pictures are getting blurred? It seems that the light in the jungle is not perfect, so you need to look at your ISO's all the time. So, was the tripod the only way to have sharp pictures with low shutter speeds and low ISO's? My shooting workflow is to set the shutter speed and then the exposure level wheel and let the camera choose the needed Iso (Auto Iso). Thanks!
@nehalpragjee
2 жыл бұрын
Im with you, I shoot handheld and I've got the same gear. I have the same question. With the A7iii especially, Im too afraid of missing shots so I opt for atleast 1/800 at the absolute minimum. I leave my iso at auto with a max of 10000. But I see in this video, Stefano has his shutter speeds super low. Is it because he knows he can get the shots provided there are hummingbird feeders? I understand that one can take a huge burst of shots with the hope that one or two images are pin sharp..is that what he did here? Im confused
Hi Stefano, Where were you staying in Mindo, Ecuador? I'm moving to Ecuador in March and can't wait to start exploring. I loved your videos and stills of the hummingbirds and I hope to do the same some time soon!
Hello.. Thanks for bringing us such wonderful video series from Ecuador... absolutely love these birds... Also, I am thinking about switching to this combo - a7r iv + 200-600.. Could you please review how it works out in crop mode + high ISO?
@StefanoIaniro
4 жыл бұрын
Thank you glad you enjoyed! A lot of these images from the video were taken in crop mode. In terms of ISO, I try my best not to shoot over ISO 3200. If you shoot a lot at higher ISOs like 6400 and above, you'd likely have to use a noise reduction software like Topaz Denoise. I've been getting surprisingly good results with the camera on a tripod, shutter speed around 1/50s, and ISO between 2000-3200. It's really dark here in the jungle lol
Very cool, I love how much you love it. Have you ever thought about coming to Colombia? The wildlife here is amazing! I have a collection of flower, bird, and butterfly photos. I live in Santa Marta, there is a bird sanctuary, a national park, and a flamingo sanctuary here. Probably a lot of the same birds, as Ecuador, but Let me know if you ever want to come down, and I can help you out with your trip.....(there are monkeys too)

Nice photos! Have you had any problems at all with soft photos with this camera/lens combo? I want to purchase but have seen vids with reports that some are having problems with soft photos. Thanks for any replies.
Hi Stefano, great video! Amazing experience. Can you comment more about the 200-600 paired with the A7IV in terms of AF consistency during bursts? I saw a post at the fredmiranda forum where some people are getting a lot of OOF images with this specifically combo.

Great Video, some fantastic birds. I agree with your comments regarding composition, I really don't like those clean pics with nothing in the background, they (IMO) don't appear natural to me and look staged. I always try and get a clean shot of the birds full body with eye contact and preferably at my eye level, if there are branches, leaves or whatever in the background I don't care, it's nature photography and birds live in trees, besides if your aperture is large enough any background will be blurry and can be made more so in post. Have a great time Stefano.

Awaiting the a7IV. I have a 6400 with a 16-50 kit lens and 200-600. Mostly photographing birds in Central and South America. Do you think I need a 70-200. I’m concerned about the overall weight of these two bodies and two lenses.
