i use crc brakleen brake cleaner, non chlorinated to degrease. then if it is very light rust , i use 2000 grit wet and dry paper first. then i gently rub with four 0000 stell wool while using a little gun oil. ive had pretty good results. birchwood casey super blue is great.

Sir what did you use to chamfer your cylinder? I have 2 New Model Remington's. 1 in .44 and 1 in .36. I would like to chamfer them and the new cylinders I just bought a long with modifying the area around the cones for a proper capper and modify the frames for conical bullets even though I'm not casting my own right now.

I would strongly suggest using nitrile gloves when working with these chemicals. Thanks for the video.
