Communication is must between girlfriend and her boyfriend. He just abandoned her after finding out that she was pregnant with his child. She never responded to her call made by him and she skipped the part where he might be ready to become father of her child. Both should be put on jail because both of these teenage couple I mean the boyfriend and girlfriend are ones to cause the havoc due to lack of communication between them then leading the father to this. This not about rights of what gender they belong to. This problem of their communication between this girlfriend and her boyfriend. I think both should be arrested for creating havoc.

Biological mothers (and father) both need to be involved in the decision for adoption. Otherwise it can lead to sever issues down the line. What the mother did here ( despite him breaking mentally and abandoning her) was the incorrect way to approach an adoption cause aside of the father actually having rights in this scenario it also puts the adoptive parents at risk down the line of dad fights back in the court system. one can validate a persons feelings and understand how one could have such feelings without actually thinking they are good, or een bad. Its called looking at it from others perspectives doesnt mean you cant also see it from her perspective and ultimately think he was out of line. Like, according to him, he made calls and has been trying to contact her for some time now. I dont think that excuses running at first, but it does mean he was trying and she wouldnt even answer and say what she planned or even to say hey please stop or etc.. not that she truly should be expected (esp if he was toxic abusive when together!) But you can UNDERSTAND these things without agreeing. I think hes nuts but I think he probably wouldnt be "nuts" if there was a healthy communicated plan from , say, her parents or soemone else to avoid making it harder on her. Then that way he could properly deal with the feelings without it being condensed to a few short hours presumably before its too late. But, also, if he truly was stable and wanted to be dad to his son, that would be his opportunity to put money where mouth is on his job and place etc etc..

He's clearly mentally unstable, what part of that don't you understand? He was mentally ill and even taking that into consideration, it still doesn't make what he did ok. The CHILD'S rights come first and has the right to be PROTECTED from someone so severely mentally ill. Ppl like him end up abusing children, including their own. Ppl like him often end up killing their kids, then everyone would point out how everyone knew how mentally unstable he was and shouldn't have been allowed to be with the child. The child is a HUMAN LIFE not some possession. There is no "equality" in this and the "father" and the doesn't deserve it nor can he be trusted with it. @@olivia-yz1wi yes but as I stated he didn't say I will raise him putting the adoption on hault, and just take her to court for child support. His idea was they will raise the baby together and I'll do it by gun point to get what I want. That's not acting on his rights that's abuse and domestic violence. That is not okay under any circumstances. If he decided to exercise his rights that would be fine especially if he respected her wishes taking full custody, but he decides that he will get what he wants in a illegal immature fashion. That's the difference between a father demanding his rights and getting a lawyer if the hospital and involved parties aren't respecting his right as a father, and what he did.

It’s stuff like this that kind of make it clear to me that if a woman feels that she cant take care of a child for whatever reason and decides to abort or adopt, there’s usually a good reason. Sometimes it’s a life or death thing. Whether she/her partner is not ready or if her partner is dangerous to the child or the woman, it’s ultimately her choice to make since she’s the one who will have the most responsibility taking care of it and will be taking the most risk. Pregnancy is one the most dangerous time for a woman because a guy can act like the perfect partner but do a 180 once he feels she’s locked down or he can seriously resent a woman for “daring to get knocked up” and “ruining his future” and take his anger out on her, etc.

  • @FishAnvil

And inversely, the mother can 180 on the day of the birth and simply decide that since she isn't ready to be a mother then the baby daddy doesn't deserve to be a father. Or she can find out she's pregnant and immediately ghost the father, get a restraining order and never let him see his child. Or even worse make the wrong man raise a kid he thinks is his. It happens both ways.

@Glaswalker1001 that's not what happened. My wife's sister was living with us. She had one child, just turned 12 months and had just given birth to another child. The same biological father. His family kicked her out to the streets. We arranged for her, at her request, to come live with us three states away while she was still pregnant with the second child. Before she gave birth, she decided to give the second child up for adoption. We were helping with school, to graduate high school. She was an abusive mother, hateful almost and she and my wife would get into fights about it. One day, she broke down, and admitted it's too hard and she just can't do it anymore. She wants a better life for her child. She asked us if we would adopt her son, as we had been trying to have a baby. We discussed it and sat down with her. We agreed. We secured an attorney and started the process. The biological father had not reached out once in two years to see if she was OK. But it got back to him that she was putting the child up for adoption and he turned up on our doorstep. We had already been to court once and we were the temporary legal guardians of the child. He, and his family, expected to come in and take the child like a piece of property. They called our local police and they showed them a birth certificate and we showed him a court order. The court order trumps the birth certificate because the birth mother was in agreement. Now the legal battle began. The courts find him unfit due to an admitted drug abuse issue, no stable job, and no stable residence. It took us a year in court to get to that point. We were also held responsible for their legal fees, by the court, and all court costs. In the end, it cost us over $15,000 to adopt our nephew. But you can't put a price on a child's safety and well-being!! The child was also diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and ADHD, as well as a sensory disorder. The mother was doing drugs while he was in utero and the father was doing drugs during conception. Our son is now 13. He is doing well and has a handle on his disabilities. Don't hate us because the courts decided we were a better option than a child placed into an unstable, and potentially dangerous environment.

You've clearly never been in such a desperate state that you don't think clearly. Imagine being told your mom is dying, you lost your job, and your girlfriend is pregnant all in a short amount of time. Then, after having a mental break from all the stress, you work to get another job that pays better and get in contact with your son's mother, only to be frozen out completely. Then you finally get to see her to tell her you made a mistake but are stepping up to be a father and potential partner, and you get assaulted, told you don't get to have a say in what happens to your son, and forcibly removed from your son's birth. And all that without any person showing you even the tiniest bit of empathy or compassion. You go through that and then tell me you would be thinking clearly.

The original intended mother for the child backs out of the adoption obviously because the father of said child held a gun to her head. So well yes the pregnant child gives birth and puts the baby up for adoption it's going into the foster care system not just being adopted to somebody, and the foster care system in the US is full of predators and people who literally have zero interest in the job. But being someone who was shuffled around that system for neuron 15 years I probably have a poor opinion of it, the same as 90% of the other kids who are treated as so much garbage by the government if you're over the age of 10 no one wants you you're just a burden so hopefully that baby gets adopted hopefully they don't go through the same s*** most do in the foster care system. But being that this is TV it doesn't really matter cuz there was no baby there was no pregnancy it's fake.

Sounded like he knocked her up and then dipped. I don't think he gets the right to try and weasel his way back into her life and make decisions about the baby the day of the birth. Even if he tried calling a few days or weeks before, he was still absent the entire pregnancy. He undoubtedly caused her emotional and mental trauma, and he had left the picture anyways so he has no right or say in whether the baby is put up for adoption or not.

While it's understandable that the boy would be upset that his child is being put up for adoption and he doesn't get a say in it, his actions are beyond deplorable! First off, pulling a gun on anyone anywhere, let alone hospital personnel and your own girlfriend's parents is NEVER okay! Second of all, you're both like sixteen! Even if you found a good paying job, you are yet old enough to handle the enormous responsibility of raising a child when you're barely out of highschool! It's actually for the best that the girl gives up her baby because they'll go to people who are responsible and will actually be capable of taking care of them. Also, you could've been given the chance to visit your child since that's actually a thing in the US: in some cases, biological parents have been allowed to visit their children in their new adopted homes to see how they're doing and let the children get to know them. It doesn't always happen but sometimes the adopted parents allow it... however, by pulling out a gun and threatening everyone in this hospital, you just guaranteed that you will NEVER see your kid...EVER! Edit: But then again, he's probably gonna die since SWAT shot him, so I'd say it's a moot point
