I just got my first quail! Some things I wish I’d known was how to tell a breeder is good and how to tell if a quail is sick vs stressed.

Speaking of rodents, my quail are in roll out egg cages outside and eggs have been disappearing... Could mice be taking them? I have seen mouse droppings on my extra supplies in my little chainlink "barn" I have the quail in to protect them from possums and racoons...

Usually not mice. They more eat the feed or through wires but they don’t kill quail. They could be scaring them to prevent them from laying though. But if there is mice there is usually rats and rats will Kill them for sport

Would you recommend concrete flooring in a quail setup for cleanliness?
