one thing I notice Tadej doing regularly is sliding onto the back of other riders/trains moving up on the left to the front and then slotting in to the group; thus often moving up without putting his face in the wind

How ridiculous was that rule regarding his shorts. He’s the leader of the race and that was the kit they gave him. Sound to me like the Organizers should take of the problem and Pog wears what ever he wants to until it’s cleared up. 🤷🏼‍♂️🦋👍

Lucca... we road from the east side below Abetone (sp? Ski area!), over and down to Bagni di Lucca, but then turned north, and over another pass to our cars (2003? 2004?), but never made it down to the coast. Killer Apennine loop.

I often click the like button on Chris' videos, but when I hear BONIFICATION I just get so excited I have to click like right then.

Ganna had also joined the breakaway in the first part of the stage, before being stopped by the team. He sort of complained about this in the post race interview with Italian TV. He really looked pissed off with the team.

BTW, missed to mention Ganna joined the breakaway at the start, but then let the other 3 go, otherwise the peloton wouldn't have given them any space.

Sound went out on my computer so I am trying to watch Closed Caption make sense of Horner-speak. A couple humorous translations are Pseudo-Quickstep and when you were talking about Bini it kept calling him 'the Air-Train'.

Hey Chris, when you have a chance, can you educate us amateurs on how to fall without getting hurt? These pros fall all the time and (usually) hop on the bike. I ask because I fell a few months ago and broke both scaphoids (sp).

That’s probably one of the few things on the bike that I couldn’t explain. I have crashed enough times though that just before I hit the ground my brain feels it a second before that happens and then I get to feel it again when actually hit the ground. No kidding. I feel the crash twice. It not pleasant. 😱😱🦋🦋🤔🤔👍👍

@11:25 are 3 out of 4 team pursuit 2020 Olympic gold medal riders! Consonni claimed afterward, he was a bit conflicted of having to chase down Ganna!

I crashed & broke my wrist the day after Jonas, but I’ve got a ways to go before I can ride my bike & I sure as hell haven’t lost any weight😭

Right. Every stage. But maybe it will make the racing more exciting later when they get into the big mountain stages if Pogi is only down to one teammates like stage one. We need a stage that’s not crazy steep with long climbs or pogi will solo but hard enough to lose most of Pogi’s UAE teammates. 🤔🤞💥👊🦋

I was wondering what your thoughts were on a rumor going around that the Jury was considering DQing Pogacar because he wore Purple Shorts with the Pink Jersey, even though this is what the Pink Jersey sponsors agreed on and UAE and Pogacar had no say in the matter? If this is true, the Jury is a bunch of Knuckleheads.

Guys... Pogi broke his wrist and was off the bike for 2-3 weeks... Jonas had a hole in His lung and broken ribs... It's great that he can ride outside, but there is only a small chance he will be ready for the tour and almost zero chance he will be ready to ride on the front... And he is skinny not because he is training, it's because he didn't eat any solid food for 2 weeks.... Happy thatbhe is recovering but let's keep realistic...
