I've rewatched this video multiple times, amazed by how young and determined Binh is with his bike. Because of this, I recently bought a 1986 Shadow 500 as my first bike. Keep up the great work guys!!!

@@Cocytus I learned a lot from this bike. I hardtailed it, welded on a tall sissy from TC Bros put on a frisco tank and made some custom rabbit ears for her. I actually sold her not too long ago. That shadow never let me down and ran like a champ even after all the mods on the bike! Had to sell her so I can pursue an 1100.

Kudos to this guy. Gives hope. You all do. Was so close to ignoring the channel due to the name. Lane splitting is illegal everywhere I've ever lived. BUT... the group you guys have...the adventurous spirit, the amazing rides everyone of you has made your own... reminds me very much of the scene when I was that age coming out of the Army. I rode a modded Sportster all OVER the USA for years. Slept off my bike on the ground. A backpack strapped to the seat and just took off. So many of the best memories of those trips were solved problems and the people met along the way. 30 years later...9 big Harleys later... I'm back on a Sportster and back to simple. Got my backpack and sissy bar.... most guys my age are gonna stay on baggers and hotels... I did that for years.. the way you guys do it...that's better. Oh yeah, what fantastic looking Shadow. Great bike.

Lane splitting is so fun though. :) I know it's dangerous. Luckily it's legal in California. I hope so for more places in the U.S. Sissy bar and a backpack and slipping anywhere sounds fun, too! I wish I can get enough courage to do that.

@@huyked I hear ya, but it's also because I'd I can camp for nothing or close to it it cuts out the number one cost of a bike trip. When my wife could travel ..yeah, it was hotels every night .... but that was always more than anything on the trips. Great memories, but I'm also making new ones. Ride safe and often! 👊

I said it before you young folk make me proud, I am concerned about your #2 cylinder pipe. My second build I did something similar and got my right arm in it before I caught myself, HOT! Wrap it with some heat shield tape, it looks old school and will protect you. My first chopper was a Honda CB 750 that had been wrecked, Mr. Ray helped me build a frame and I raked it 45 degrees. Remember ride/build what you like. I love what you young men are doing and if you ever get to Tennessee we will have to ride.

Gonna change that real soon, but I'm kind of at a loss because it is a 1986 VT700C and nobody online has built one. Probably because it is the shaft-drive model. I am inspired by what you guys do with your bikes and I love chopper style, but I wish I could find a good example of a VT700c that is built

I have a 2002 I bought new. The only problem so far is it needed the front brake master cylinder rebuilt- I bought the rebuild kit and watched a KZread video for how to do it myself. The top speed is 95 mph, but the vibration gets worse above 60 mph, and the single front brake disk is better for 60 mph or less. Honda copied a Harley Softail with a hidden back shock, and the Softail is a copy of the 1936 Harley Knucklehead. V for V-twin, L for low, and X for extended front forks. I ride mine once a week if it is at least 50 degrees outside, usually about 20 miles on curvy country roads. I also have another motorcycle that is very different. It is nice to have 2, if one needs a tire or battery just ride the other one until you get around to fixing it. I rode a Yamaha XS-650 from 1980 to 1985, and had a car for the colder 6 months every year.

I love the Honda VLX 600 Shadow! I wanted the bike but they were very scarce in England at the time, so I got my trusty 1996 Honda CMXC250 Rebel (1985-2016) instead, to keep the classic-style cruiser! It's a shame that Honda didn't design the VLX 600 with an air-cooled engine (without the ugly radiator in front!), and just a single Keihin CV Carburettor between the cylinders...(45 degrees cylinder placement would have been better!), and an added kick-starter would also have been very nice!. A perfect lightweight alternative to a heavy Harley-Davidson! It's a shame that they don't make them anymore!... Take care, all!...😊....😊...!

Dude I brought a 1995 Honda Shadow 600 six months ago fourteen owners before me. It’s orange out of all colours orange with glitter in it shines at night looks bloody Beautiful. When sunlight hits it turns green in the front of the tank and burgundy. With route 66 emblem on both of the side. I extended the front forks changed the front tyre to a Shinko added a 40 inch sissy bar. Back end was chopped of and frame was lowered. Added a triangular chopper headlight and extended handlebars just into the middle don’t like it too high. The only thing bad about it is people saying hey nice bike whilst I’m just relaxing somewhere after a long day, especially at night gets a little creepy. I live in London crime is rampant here, anyways these are beautiful bikes although they are mistaken for a Harley they have personality ride safe my people.
