I made these today and it is just like it was described by Lalo. I simply love it. This should be sold on the streets I think. The seasoning mix is so flavorful I couldn't stop to smell it over and over again even the raw chicken smelled lovely. My family already told me to make it again. I really recommend to try this recipe out! You can not ruin it if you follow the recipe ;) The batter was not so fragile as I thought it would be based on the 'cons'. Just let it fry for a few minutes before gently turning them around.

I love that the only initial direction Giancarlo (sic?) was given in his characterisation of Gus Fring was that "he's a nice man who sells chicken" and he decided to give the role an understated menace which persuaded them to develop the character further.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate how perfect the drumstick in the thumbnail looks

I can understand grinding up red pepper flakes. They’re largely seeds and I hate biting down on whole pepper seeds…

For the spices being "more chilean", use a mix between chili flakes (between the 5000-8000 scoville units), smoked paprika and some coriander seeds, put them on a stove at low to mid heat for 5 minutes and grind them. You will get some "Merkén", which is a traditional chilean spice blend!

In 2012, I actually ate at the restaurant that was rebranded as “Los Pollos Hermanos” for Breaking Bad. The restaurants real name was “twisters” and is about 8 minutes from the Albuquerque HardRock Casino. They didn’t serve fried chicken though, but they did still have the Los Pollos Hermanos painted Logo on the walls inside. The place was a burger diner with a southwestern “twist”. I was stationed at Kirkland AFB in ABQ at the time and I wonder if it’s still open. If so, they really, really should start serving spicy fried chicken.

Twister's was around for decades before Breaking Bad. All of Albuquerque has since incorporated BB references for tourism. You see artwork and such all over the place now.

I love their rock salt that they put on the sauces secretly for some reason.

I never thought batter fried was so rare lol I've had flour coated fried chicken but the battered method keeps the chicken juicy, adds a bunch of flavor and crisp prime examples Popeyes, and Roasters fried chicken 😋👍👍

Breaking Bad came first Medalion, then Better Call Saul was created via a Spin Off, not to say that Better Call Saul is any less quality, cause that is not true.
