Some additional notes and corrections:
1. The base audio system CAN be upgraded to the Alpha One amplifier. It comes with all the brackets and harnesses needed.
2. There is a fourth audio system that came on some cars that was called the "Individual High-End" system. This was a really expensive option that was more common in Europe. The amp is 825 watt, meaning there is no need to upgrade it. Also, the tweeter and midrange speakers are top quality and also do not need to be upgraded, however you will see some improvements by installing the alpha one 7ohm subwoofers on these cars.

50sKid... I BLAME YOU! I started watching your videos a few years back and now my driveway consists of; 01' X5 4.4i, 03' 325i, 11' 328i, 11' 335d, and a 12' X5 35d...... Its ALL your fault and now i'm obsessed!!!!! Thanks for everything you do for the community man! Keep up the awesome work.

I've got the basic sound system so I'm definitely interested in this
Looking forward to the full install video. I have an old e46 that has 5 1/4" speakers in the front and 6 1/2" speakers in the rear. Beyond the BimmerTech Alpha One Speakers showcased in this video, it is incredibly difficult to find a decent pair of high powered/quality speakers that would fit the newer BMW vehicles (typically 3 1/2" and 4" speakers). I really wish BMW would consider car audio enthusiasts better but at least we have better options now with this set of speakers.

You can fit 6.5in components in the front door of the e46 with a bracket. Might as well fit the biggest
I was waiting for you to make this.. you always give honest reviews 🙌.. I have logic 7 and can't find better sound quality 😅🍻

I have the Alpine upgrade for the e91, it's much better.

The BMW Individual Audio system is better than the logic 7. This is found in M3 often
these look awesome, but the price, oh my. Think I will stick with my logic-7 speakers
The one thing that sucks with e90/e60+ bimmers. Can't really put your own standard aftermarket speakers easily like you can in older bimmers.

I have a question for you. I have an e39 in need of a sound system upgrade. I want to keep the stock head unit. What can be used as a direct replacement for aftermarket speakers/amplifier which will connect to the factory head unit? Thanks

Use a line output converter to use the stock stereo with an amplifier
Whoa...$1680 for our cars...I think I'll settle for mine at the moment lol

Dont need to. Regular aftermarket speakers fit in e46. Get focals or infinity kappas

@@LochyP I guess focals aren't what they used to be. I run JBLs in my e46 since they're cheaper and still good.
