    Hey man, really like your energy in the video. I have one question and one comment. Firstly, biltong IS NOT jerky. If you have ever had both of them, you will know that. Also the curing process for the 2 are different. My question is why did you add water to your mix? you should never add water to your biltong mix, since the vinegar is used to kill the bacteria in the meat while it is drying. I make biltong myself, and just wanted to ask and point out. But once again, great video.

  • @TheDrunkenBBQ

    I basically dilute the vinger with some water, why I don’t know as its what the recipe calls for and its working for me. 100% with you that biltong is not the same jerky but amongst the dried meat snack biltong is king. Here in Canada not many people know biltong.

    @@TheDrunkenBBQ yes i know many people do not know biltong. Strange that the recipe will call for water, since dilution of vinegar is bad in this case. Just glad to see you putting out the content and to help introduce this snack to more people. Keep it up.

  • @TheDrunkenBBQ

    @TheDrunkenBBQ

    Builtong is dried meat, often beef. In North America is usually thin sliced, marinated and then called jerky. In South Africa they dry the meat with herbs and thicker cuts (like 1” steak) and then its called biltong.
