WorldWideTwist so true, you make me have a look. 2003 : rebellion spirit with, Billy Talent I with « cut the curtain » or « try honesty ». Billy Talent II with « red flag » wrote in 2006 but « surrender » in 2007, so the album of the first transition. After, Billy talent III which is the most pessimist album with « Tears into Wine », « Rusted from the rain » or even « Turn your back ». 2012 : Dead Silence with « surprise surprise » or « Viking death march » that show a resistance against more powerfull than us. 2016 : Afraid of Heigh, with « this is our war » and « horse and chariot ». Maybe in 2020 Billy talent I finally succed to fight his fear 🤔

How about you don't pick specific words of two songs which do have completely different topics and compare them to each other. DSurrender yourself to me" expresses sth else then I beg to differ's "Don't you surrender"

31 years old lost my mom last year and Honestly if it wasn't for this band I would have left this world far too soon. Even today when I am circling the drain and crawling my way to a better tomorrow. This band gives me that extra nudge. If you guys ever come to NYC I'm buying Tickets and a box of tissues. Before my mom passed I finally got her to listen to the songs that mean the most to my heart. She understood where my mind was so thank you guys so much. Even if you don't see this I want it to be seen I love and need your music me and so many other like me so thank you.

This song came out during one of the few worst months of my life. I've been battling depression caused by gender dysphoria for years. A few months ago I almost attempted to commit suicide, but in a moment of sanity I broke down. I finally got the courage to speak out and seek help. Of course, I'm not healthy yet, but I'm way better than I used to be. This songs gives me the motivation to keep holding on and to not give up.

What I like about this song is that it’s so cliche, but it doesn’t feel that way. And I think that’s because Billy talent has built up so many songs that are so specific about struggles, so to hear a sort of all-around recovery song just seems to fit. It just shows that sometimes the most complex problems have the simplest solutions.

There is so much gratitude that i owe this band... I grew up in an houshold with a sadistic father. It was purest tyranny. That domestic violence was drowning and my mother, my little brother and me suffered for long. The first time i wanted to take my life at the age of 12 years thinking there is no escape from here. Shortly afterwards i for the first time, accidentally, listened to Saint Veronkia, little did i know how most of BT songs would help me through my next years. I felt like they talked to me and the video was kinda hypnotic (our curtains were always closed so the colors used in the video reminded me of my home) in school or anywhere people didn't notice my situation, cause i never showed, i was afraid, as if he was so strong and there would be no force which could stop him from harming us. Year went by and by nothing changed. We seemed like a picture perfect family, me being the good daughter going to uni, my brother being good in school and playing in a football team... little did people know how every single day we survived was a gift. I hoped that a miracle would rescue me, us one day. But miracles don't happen. You need to take action, no matter hoe afraid you are, if you don't make the change, it won't happen. I didn't think that all could end so quikly. On June 26th 2021 i called the police after he attacked me again... tbh... the state didn't help a lot but his mask kinda fell off and it's so hilarious to see how this man was actually the biggest coward i've ever met. The fear of society that he had i would have never imagined. And as in this song... things get better indeed... and yes , when i look back, it does seem like a dream, it's all so far away from me now, all the pain, the fear, the tears... All you need to do is taking action and most importantly, don't hold yourself back from telling people about what you're going through. Don't allow these cowards to build up a power on you for their own ego. It's your life, don't let others destroy it

This song is one of the very few things that is helping get through a really tough time. I’m struggling with my mental health. I told my brother and he suggested this song and I just feel it deep in my soul. Hearing the lyrics, hearing you (Benjiman) sing.. I just want to say thank you so much. I’m a little late but I’ve always been a fan, since a young teenager. I’m glad he showed me this.

It's funny, Billy Talent formed in 1993, I was born in 1993, and it's one of the first bands I listened to and I always come back. It's interesting to hear how much it's changes and no matter what song I listened to, I've been able to relate to their songs at one point or another during their releases. Without a doubt, Billy Talent is my favorite and I can say that without hesitation.

This song is so cool because when I look back on all of Billy Talent's albums, from the very first one to now, their songs grew with them and the experiences they had. At first there was a lot of family issue-centric songs, and tons of songs about politics (awesome), and then we got more sentimental songs, and with the last 2 or 3 albums I feel like we got the emotions of the band members going through big life changes (finding love, dealing with health things, etc.). The lyrics in this song are so BELIEVABLE because they come from a place of having gone through so much in life and having found that, despite it all, there was light and happiness. I feel like I've been on this journey with Billy Talent for all of these years, since the release of their first album, and it's been such a pleasure learning and growing with them. If you read this, thanks for getting me through all these years with your music.
