My first time hearing this song by both System and MGK. I’ve been an MGK fan for years but I gotta say, K butchered the ever loving soul of this song. Please don’t do it again K. Lawdy

This video is actually very profound. For those that don't understand the music video, it's the story of the circus freak that looks up to the aerials performers. He closes his eyes and imagines a world where he is wealthy and powerful, however, his limited knowledge of real life frustrates him even in his imagination, like when he is questioned by the other kid. This goes in hand to the lines "When you loose small mind you free your life / when you fee your life eternal prize" What that basically means is that our limited perception, like that kid's, holds us captive. If we are able to confront our perceptions of life we'll get the eternal prize, which is happiness.

23 years of listening and it still has not gotten old.

3:32 is so special. The harmonies between the two vocals are beautiful and give a sense of “final”. The faster tempo kind of adds a feeling of desperation.

I saw them back in maybe 2002 thinking there was no way Serj could pull it off live. I was so wrong. They were incredible. I've recently been learning how to sing for real and it makes me appreciate Serj even more. Such incredible range and power.

This song is just awesome. Great singer.

was never a HUGE system fan but like some of their songs, this song though one of the best pieces of music ever made IMO.

Movies should be built from this music.

The meaning of the song, I think: It's about how people get sucked into materialistic culture. They get obsessed with fame and popularity and money. They become like this kid, altered beyond human recognition (plastic surgery being the most direct example) in an effort to try to be perfect in the eyes of society. They lure you in from childhood by convincing you that this is what success looks like, but the kid isn't happy because this doesn't make you happy. This - money, fame, being a celebrity - isn't success at all. To be happy, you have to "lose small mind". You have to see past this small picture of earning and buying and getting famous, and find your real purpose in life and do what fulfils you. Only then will you claim eternal prize. True value. Because after all, life is a waterfall. Just a small flash of activity where we all get to be unique. Before and after the waterfall. Before we're born and after we die; we're all the same. We can't take any of our money or fans out of this life. They get lost and forgotten one way or another. That's what makes these things useless. But during the waterfall, all we can honestly do is be happy, find peace, and try not to lose ourselves. For a band who almost exclusively focuses on worldwide issues, this is a very personal song. That's what makes it special. It's a personal message to each and every one of you to see past the facade and live for yourself.

Just great music. I'm not usually into harder, "metal" music tho this is so distinctive, unique anyway. Think I can appreciate nearly all kinds of music. Even Call Me Maybe tho I've said that already. (Anyway I like the TT memes they do about it. I will do you dirty if you come up on me)

Real, best Metal is like maiden and this; heavy, unique, beautiful, powerful, soulful, melodic at the same time

I still consider this one a best from them. The sinister yet graceful tone in the instruments is always jaw dropping to me, and Serj's vocals really bring this whole track together
