Yes, Welcome To The Canteen by Traffic was a mood relaxer when I was in the army in 1972. Billy has brought back many old memories through his music. I wish him great health and many more years of his music!

Tried for years to get my late friend, Brian, to really dig on and appreciate Billy Strings. This video did it only two days before he passed. The smile on his face will always be one of my most fond memories. RIP, Brian Laude. Brother, I know you're singing the blues in heaven.

He’s a musical genius. However, he is in the HOF with Traffic and won two Grammys. Every band he played in was a critical success. Traffic albums went gold and platinum. He even had videos on MTV. And he was a guitar virtuoso as a child. Yes, Clapton was god and sold way more records. But I’d say Winwood is rated highly.

This was one of my dads favorite jams. I can't tell you how many times I've heard him listen to it. He's been gone for 3 years now and now everytime I see it pop up on my feed I always listen to it. This is my favorite lineup of musicians around right now, praying they can put together a tour. So much potential amongst this group of musicians. I know they all have excellent bands but when will they get this opportunity again? Never! Bill may not be around the next time they wanna get together 10-20 yrs down the road, or perhaps someone else is gone. Take this show on the road!!!

Some advice for anybody just finding this masterpiece…Billy Strings is one of the best living singers/songwriters/players/performers. He plays 100+ shows a year with a band that sounds nothing like this, but respects the traditions of the British Invasion and Americana music. I highly recommend 😁

I spent almost my entire high school years at Red Rocks. My HS was the closest to the park. This was way before they put up the gates restricting night time access. We would party on that stage with our acoustic guitars till late at night getting stoned. Even explored the orchestra pit and the underground rooms under the stage.

Billy Kreutzmann is a living legend (as is Steve Winwood for that matter) who has assembled an amazing group of talented musicians, and Billy Strings is a legend in the making. So nice to see a mix of the sixties/seventies greats with the best of the last couple decades and the best of this decade. Like Jerry, Billy Strings has an incredible love for music in all forms. Only sad that Santana isn't in this concert, he adds something that no other guitarist can bring.

Billy can sure play guitar. This is my first listen to him playing electric guitar, i had only been exposed to his acoustic playing. He seems to have the real talent and good vibe, the real chance to create some novel music for us, Nobody ever complained about a good set that contained well done covers that I ever come upon. Rad.

Red Rocks invites musicians to an evening of splendor - so many respond in this fashion. Now, a band like this is a custom fit for the ambieance and good vibes that are Read Rocks!!! This is a great concert. Thanks for sharing. BTW - I have been watching this precocious youngster become a bridge for many forms of music. He has blossomed. Fun to watch you grow, Billly.

Tried for years to get my late friend, Brian, to really dig on and appreciate Billy Strings. This video did it only two days before he passed. The smile on his face will always be one of my most fond memories. RIP, Brian Laude. Brother, I know you're singing the blues in heaven.

He’s a musical genius. However, he is in the HOF with Traffic and won two Grammys. Every band he played in was a critical success. Traffic albums went gold and platinum. He even had videos on MTV. And he was a guitar virtuoso as a child. Yes, Clapton was god and sold way more records. But I’d say Winwood is rated highly.

damm what a fine tribute to one of my all time favourite songs.....never thought anyone could cover steve winwood and jim capaldi and turn into something so timeless. absolutely brilliant and i am so jealuos of those in the crowd who witnessed this first hand.
Billy soars on this song. Not many people know he is around picking some of the best guitar I have heard in a long time. He brings great joy.

This was one of my dads favorite jams. I can't tell you how many times I've heard him listen to it. He's been gone for 3 years now and now everytime I see it pop up on my feed I always listen to it. This is my favorite lineup of musicians around right now, praying they can put together a tour. So much potential amongst this group of musicians. I know they all have excellent bands but when will they get this opportunity again? Never! Bill may not be around the next time they wanna get together 10-20 yrs down the road, or perhaps someone else is gone. Take this show on the road!!!
Some advice for anybody just finding this masterpiece…Billy Strings is one of the best living singers/songwriters/players/performers. He plays 100+ shows a year with a band that sounds nothing like this, but respects the traditions of the British Invasion and Americana music. I highly recommend 😁

To be honest I never knew that Billy could sing like that. That goes with no words his capability of playing the guitar that's for sure but tack on top of that you would bility to sing really is a is a nice thing to see and listen to. ❤😊❤😊

I held my breath until his first phrase. Billy S has so much range vocally, and his incredible breadth musically!! too! Wow, he brings it all. I am SO glad I can age (I'm way ahead tho) with him doing my favorite all time GOAT band!
I spent almost my entire high school years at Red Rocks. My HS was the closest to the park. This was way before they put up the gates restricting night time access. We would party on that stage with our acoustic guitars till late at night getting stoned. Even explored the orchestra pit and the underground rooms under the stage.
Jerry and Billy are both empaths imo . Both have an uncanny ability to make you feel loved and understood and we're all here to have a good time while we can. It's all about what feels right , this music just feels right as rain to me
Fantabulous!!! Billy and the kids nailed it! What a great performance in the perfect location! I was just amazed at his vocals on Mr. Fantasy, his father must be proud. He’s certainly a blessing to all of us! Thanks so much to all of you for an awesome show!!!

@@HammockQueen my cousin Sarah Madl passed away in Kansas from colorectal cancer as well about 19 years ago at the ripe age of 23 years, forever young ❤ You dont get checked until we're 50 for that cancer, unfortunately. They didn't catch it until she was a few months from the end, her immediate family was by her side until the last breath.
this was by far the best show i've been to in a decade! And im an old OLD school deadhead. Everything was perfect, THANK YOU!
Billy Kreutzmann is a living legend (as is Steve Winwood for that matter) who has assembled an amazing group of talented musicians, and Billy Strings is a legend in the making. So nice to see a mix of the sixties/seventies greats with the best of the last couple decades and the best of this decade. Like Jerry, Billy Strings has an incredible love for music in all forms. Only sad that Santana isn't in this concert, he adds something that no other guitarist can bring.
Billy strings is my inspiration to play
Pay attention kids... You won't see many real ones. You're watching one now. Cheers all!

Billy can sure play guitar. This is my first listen to him playing electric guitar, i had only been exposed to his acoustic playing. He seems to have the real talent and good vibe, the real chance to create some novel music for us, Nobody ever complained about a good set that contained well done covers that I ever come upon. Rad.

This is so fantastic. This music is going to keep being enjoyed by every new generation as long as great musicians like these keep playing it so well. My dad loved these songs and so do I. One day my kids and grandkids will be smiling and singing along just like we did. Love it.

All very talented musicians but the keyboardist nailed it. I've seen a few bands in boulder and I can tell you that tone would fill the rocky mountains.
