Part of Billy's brilliance is his genuine love of good playing so he surrounds himself with like minded folks. Damn tight group.
He is the next guitar hero. He’s so good. And he is bringing jam band style bluegrass into the public eye which is awesome.

You beat me to my comment! Everything about this piece is top notch. Obviously Strings and the fellas are just top notch: no slack, no slips, they are just THERE, fully present in the performance. And the camera work, blocking, etc. is superb. They obviously rehearsed together with the band, and everyone nailed it. Very cool set, too.
They’re more than a band, they’re a force of nature. So incredible and emotional I feel a tear come to my eye
When I was young local bluegrass players who come to my grandpa's porch on Saturday night in Clay, West Virginia just to jam with my Papaw, Loyd Butcher,Sr., when he played his mandolin. When I close my eyes and I heard the mandolin being played in Billy String's band, it took me back to the 1970s and my grandma's porch in West Virginia and all those old great players. That's the greatest compliment I can give these guys. You guys are awesome! ⛰️🏞️🌄🌳🏡💖🎵🎶🙏🇺🇸

Saw him two years in a row and was blown away the first time I saw him. At that time he was yet to be really discovered and his show was free. People packed it in to watch him and he did not disappoint. What an entertainer, and even back then he shared the stage with some incredible talent which made for an amazing small show. If only I could go back in time to see those shows again.
