I can't believe I still watch it in 2018. I forgot that the actors and actresses were real and natural back then...wow

This was a really excellent opening number. My favorite so far. The Godfather Part III was damn funny.

Kathy Bates looks amazing, in so glad she won best actress that night for her role in Misery!! and Jodie Foster sitting in front of her! Wow

Billy Crystal won a special award for this medley, did he not?

Billy always seemed to luckily spoof the movie that ended up winning. He must have been tipped off, or had a really good sense of how the members think. He's a stand-up comedian so he probably knows how to read an audience and that's my guess. I really wish they'd bring him back. I really think some of the other hosts struggle.

20 years since Academy Awards Telecast No. 63 in 1991 - seems like it was yesterday! A big difference between the Shrine Auditorium in LA and Oscars' new home at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. Wasn't the 63rd Academy Awards Telecast on ABC the telecast that had Charlie O'Donnell as the announcer? A lot of things have happened over a span of 20 years since the 63rd Annual Academy Awards, but these memories from the previous telecasts need to be preserved for its historical value.

I was in junior high that year I still remember when I watched dances with the wolves on the big screen and watched it countless times on tv Most of these films then had a quality script quality acting, and now they became classic Sure someone says this about the Hollywood era of the 60 50 40s but the difference is 1991 was a modern year with modern technology and without the whole social media and reality tv everywhere madness Billy crystal to some boring but so much better than jimmy kimmel Brings memories specially seeing al Pacino at a younger age and the impressive Glenn glose These were the true A list stars of that time 😊

This year’s Billy medley is my favorite.

The joke about Billy having lunch with "Julia Phillips" was a Hollywood in-joke about the very real fact Julia was a top time Hollywood producer of the 1970s and wrote a tell-all best selling book in 1991 about the culture of Hollywood surrounding it's drug abuse, casting couch activities etc. Many of the names she wrote in the book were people in the audience.
