Reminds me of the Violet family in France, that became super rich with their aperitivo Byrrh in the 1930's. Whenever they went to the restaurant, they didn't go with one, but with two enormous luxurious Rolls Royces. Just in case theirs would somehow develop engine trouble... Now isn't that the spirit ?
@stephaneaderca7948
28 күн бұрын
If the Violet family doubted Rolls-Royce's legendary reliability, why one earth did they buy Rolls-Royce? France had plenty of competitors to Rolls-Royce in the 1930's, first among them the Hispano-Suiza, a legendary, technically more advanced car usually selling for more money than an RR. Would be interesting to know which Rolls-Royces the Violet owned. Being in France in their 1930's, their RR would presumably have carried coachwork by local coachbuilders, such as Kellner, Binder, Vanvooren or Fernandez & Darrin (rather than HJ Mulliner or Barker that would have been the norm for RR's sold in the UK).
I don’t get fighting for money the owner of it clearly ddnt want you to have.
