Got my wish - was finally able to hear Anthony Burger hear sing a solo just before he passed - was so sorry it was that soon before he passed, but as the saying goes, better late than ever!! He had a great voice, that added to his playing, made him an all around performer!! Loosing him meant the gospel music world lost a GREAT part of their musical crew!!

my aging n pretty advanced dementia addled mother still loves her gospel and hymns and I happened to catch this tune up at her house recently. As an aging soul myself, but one whose musical tastes run much more towards rock, particularly improvisational "jam band" music (ie The Dead, Allmans, Phish, WSP, etc.) this diddy had me off the couch and boogieing w/ a big ole smile!!

Piano Player is Anthony Burger, best of all times. He died on stage on a Gaither Cruise playing gospel, just like you saw tonight and I don't think he'd have had it any other way. He won Best Pianist Fan Award so many times they renamed it the Anthony Burger Aware and he was no longer eligible, Fabulous Pianist - He was 44 years old when he died.

This is my favorite version by far!!! I always smile as I'm praising and singing with this song, among the many songs I love to listen to, and say..Sing and dance with the Angels honey. I love many different gospel singers and songs, but Jessy is one of my favorites. I just recently came back to God after so many years of running from him, and watch a lot of Gaither videos. So shortly after, I realized Jessy passed several years ago, and it broke my heart. But, he's home and there's nothing to be sad about!!!!
