Back in the early 1970's we would frequent Bill & Bobs.The best roast beef. We would call it William & Roberts because it was soo classy.

Great review of Bill & Bob's! Been a LONG time regular back to the 80's when I lived in Salem. Haven't been a local since 2007, but each time I fly into Boston, I grab the rental car and head up to Salem for some awesome late night North Shore Beef and a Pizza Roll! Grew up in the Boston area. Not sure why but here in Texas....next to impossible to find a place that does a North Shore Beef right. So I make them at home. It's almost as good!

In 1976...we would get wasted....go see Aerosmith and Foghat at the Garden...come home to Winchester ...head to Woburn for a big beef with extra mayo. Heaven,baby

Grew up in Woburn and I remember those days. Foghat with the Outlaws was amazing! Went there a few years ago and had new owners. The guy who served me had more oil in his hair than my car has. The sandwich was gray and I never went back since. Hopefully the one in Salem is still good it looked it. But if I'm in Salem I'm going to Big Fred's

I haven't been thete in about 25 years used to live in Beverly. I always got the Texas burger & got my roast beef at Nick's with just sauce & cheese no mayo.

Gotta have it with barbecue sauce.

You should’ve went down the street to either Nicks. Better roast beef than Jamie’s or Bill And Bobs imo.

you dont undestand the 3 way. If you arent from the area, you dont realize they use a special bbq sauce called james river. Its tangy, liquidy and has some hotness. It blends peretly with mayo. The sheese i could give or take. But the sauce and mayo were meant to be together
