Kentucky road-trip in the future?

I was researching Louisville and I stumbled on your reviews. They are great - I really enjoy them. I was stationed at Fort Know back in 81-82, before being transferred to South Korea. Since then, i went back one time (on business for just two days) about 30 years ago. When I was at Fort Knox, it took us an hour to get to Louisville (via HYY 31) When I went back, I took a new highway that connected Louisville to Fort Knox in just 15 minutes. I must return to try some of these great restaurants!

And before you showed your meatloaf plate, after showing their menu. A lightbulb went off in my head. I was thinking to myself that, I bet those grits would be so good with that sausage gravy…. Then you got it on your mashed potatoes…. Two fat guy’s thinking alike.😂😂😂 As always everything looked so good….!🤤👍🏾👍🏾 Just about every place that I’ve seen you visit in Kentucky(since I discovered your channel), I’ve just been dying to try…. Those of us enjoying the heat, sometimes MASK the true essence of a recipe (so many restaurants do not set out salt....because we, Americans SALT everything) so first bite should be honest.....enjoy your meal, my friend!!!

I'm so jealous! That's the best-looking food yet. There is nothing better than fresh meat raised locally. I want to ask you, Barry, to put together a top 5 local places to get soup. I keep wanting that, and i'm definitely going try the pho beef soup that you mentioned in your Vin Bun review. And i'm trying to think of the other places where you reviewed soup, and I think some were Mexican, but maybe that's something you could put together since it's cold weather ahead for the next four months! You should try Shiraz Mediterranean Grill on Poplar Level Road. Its a little more expensive than places you normally review but it is incredible Persian/Mediterranean food

That place looks worth a few trips. I'm not much of a fan of cheesecake either, but my cousin Ann has a shop in Morgantown, KY called "My Mother's Daughter's Cheesecakes" where she and her mother make some outstanding cheesecakes, banana nut bread (my favorite), brownies, apple dumplings and whatever strikes their fancy that week. They also do a lunch box on Thursdays. They sell out fairly often, so it's best to contact them before making the trip.

Ain’t many places around like this one.

Grew up on Kodiak Island Alaska so didnt eat country foods or fried etc,parents from ohio and dad with german background was meat and potatoes,except we killed/ate elk,deer,carribu and moose on mainland,caught salmon,halibut,king crab,dungenous crab etc,no store bought meats.But after being stationed in eastern NC in USCG ive adapted to some good fried chicken,pulled pork,ribs etc.Enjoy your videos young man lol,.

@@goodallscountrykitchen Nope. Save the hot sauce for the eggs and hash browns. And NOT Tabasco, I use Cholula instead, it has more flavor and not as much vinegar. An alternative for grits; in stead of butter/black pepper, go for butter/brown sugar.

You kept saying that Purdue sausage, but you said on freezer tour that was homegrown and home butchered and vacuumed wrapped and that's not Purdue brand. I also have to add it just rubs me the wrong way to see somebody eating a nice meal and anytime anywhere I just hate seeing when you're trying to eat with plastic forks or spoons or knives The last thing I'm going to add is that whenever you make a drink I love the ice to pop or iced tea ratio. I just love to see that sweat on the outside of the grass. And seeing the little bubbles inside trickling up.

I just have to say something very very important maybe two things that are very important, first, it was very noticeable that your face today was like a bright purple crimson red and I don't know if that is like a lead up to a heart attack or not. Second thing is that I have been a subscriber for over a year and today when I wanted to make sure that the notification was set it should be that my subscription add notification had been up here for a year. So you were not getting credit that you were having my subscription and notification to be paid for that. Don't worry though every day they send a new review and I give you a thumbs up and I double-checked to make sure I give you a thumbs up. Well I'm on a roll, do you ever share your food with your friends after you have asked them to have a sample of theirs on a lunch date? If you take a bite of their food don't double dip!
