No more than any other hard-working citizens, most of whom contribute more to their local economy in the form of tax revenue and so on. Nothing at all to look down on them for, of course, and I support my local businesses as often as I can. I'm just saying it takes all kinds for a functional society, your local industrial employee or firefighter or schoolteacher or landscaper or electrician or housekeeper is just as deserving of our respect. People seem to have forgotten that, and it's worrisome.

Small town communities only support people from their area. Even if you're a disabled veteran looming to make a quiet little town the home of your business, the community still won't support you. There's nothing but hateful people in central Michigan.

I tried spirals Wednesday this week. The food was really good.. The decor was a little worn. The service was excellent. I was a little leery of pain so much for a hotdog on a bun, but ended up with a Polish sausage, which in my opinion is much better. Reminds me of the place I used to flip hamburgers in in 1965. I think we’ll be back.

I’m a small business owner, too. I completely and totally can relate to this man. I’ve been in that same spot. It was very this ice for a while Thankfully, I added an additional revenue stream to my business and it has kept the business going since. I have two contracts with a local government and I have one with a very large nation wide business. We service their repair needs. We are rated 5 stars on-line from public customers. I don’t take breaks or a lunch. For two years I only had one day off a week, the one day a week we were closed. It takes a crap tonne of dedication and grit and a lot of luck. And sometimes, intervention from an angel as in this case. Made me tear up. So happy for this man. I absolutely can relate.
I needed a story like this, thank you for spreading the word.
This has happened to a few businesses. Good deal. Citizens helping their communities.
