Bikepacking Groningen & Drenthe - Ronde van Nederland - Folding bike The Netherlands Pt4

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Bikepacking Groningen Drenthe Megaliths Ronde van Nederland
Friesland, Groningen, Drenthe, megalithic stones, wild camping plus of course lots of riding folding bikes in this episode!
Friesland, Groningen and Drenthe are great places to ride through by bike. With fantastic infrastructure for cycling, and generally flat topography this parts of The Netherlands offers nice country riding. Cycle through farmland, forest, and city. The Netherlands is easy riding due to it being flat but also very well connected by cycle paths ( fietspads) and trains. Getting provisions is simple as there are shops and supermarkets in each town and also bike shops to get your bike fixed if necessary. I would recommend cycling in the Netherlands to beginner cycle tours and advanced riders, you will enjoy riding in this fantastic cycling paradise!

Brilliant tip to keep the utility key👍. I would recommend running the tap for a minute before filling your bottle. Thanks for another great video.

It is great riding in the Netherlands! Also making good food is priority. Having enough calories to ride and navigate plus keep spirits high super important!

Ohh No, never fill your water like that, turning the tap on with your bottle under the nozzle means you get any crap, bugs, dirty water that settled in the nozzle, straight in your drinking water. Flush it briefly to allow the clean none stagnant water to flow and then put your bottle under..

In my country tap water is good to drink, maybe not here? Most ppl seem to drink bottled water

The Netherlands has some of the best water in the world. No need to be scared. Everyone drinks it. Just let it flow for a sec if it hasn't been used in a while. Stagnant water is never good even in pipes.

I think Deeno means bugs, spiders, etc that may have climbed up the tap nozzle just before you fill your water bottle.

Olive oil is great, it is not to thick so it will probably clean out dirt more than anything. However it does not lubricate very well long term.

Great stealth camping shots! I think I notice a wary look around on emerging from the tent. :) I'd be interested to know if the olive oil oxidizes and goes sticky. A devil to clean off if it does - but it might not...

Chain oil needs to perform under high pressure of chain part. That is why most normal oils, like WD-40, are not suited for chain oil.

Those are fern growing from a huge pile of sawdust that was dumped by farmer, I don’t think there is any damage caused by us on our adventure. If you want to see real nature and established podocarp rainforest come to nz. Dutch nature is beautiful but mostly everything is man made kind of like a zoo🌴🚲⛺️👍
