Jeff so glad you had a great trip. It’s been a few years since I’ve ridden Baja but my experience was the same. Warm and friendly people, great food, amazing memories.

Baja is a wonderful place and there's just nothing like Mike's. As you stated the people are wonderful and deserve a heavy tip for sure. I have your MX Tech Lucky Mule set up on both ends of my 300 and there's just nothing that even comes close. I have recommended the set up to several of my friends as well as your GET power kit and they are all very happy. You have a fantastic team at your shop and IMO you offer the best in parts and service so thanks for all you do to improve our sport and keep up the great work.

Thanks Jack! I've recently been getting more miles on my Mule Blackjack forks and it's hard to believe but they are another level above the Mule Lucky cartridges. Absolutely amazing suspension. Today I'm heading out for a 2 day ride near the Colorado/Utah border for more testing. If you have a chance to come to Colorado, let me know and I'll show you some great trails. Thanks for all of your patronage. We appreciate it. My staff works hard every day to take customer service to another level. Happy trails!

Great bike...good advice regarding how to/not to conduct yourself when riding esp when you're in a diff area/country...there are many places where people are struggling to make a living but are still v. welcoming n friendly - so the least riders (who are obviously better off financially) can do is not be arrogant or behave in a superior or entitled manner, but instead try to understand the local customs and people and treat them with respect plus tip the folks serving/working well as they also have families and enjoy the riding too 👍

Such an awesome and well thought out bike, I have the same type of saddlebags on the same model bike and noticed on your previous video you had the Mojave saddle bags front attachment straps mounted differently on the exhaust side. Which setup do you recommend on 2020 500

I recommend your strap mounting should be as such to fit your personal needs. There's always more than one way to skin a cat.

Jeff excellent video, the end of your video wrap up really hit home with me. Now I really want to go. Do you think a 350 would be underpowered? I wouldn't want to take the 300 even though the Baja 500 was won several years in a row by the mighty KX-500.

350s work well for that trip. Just gear it so it can cruise at 60mph on the paved sections.

You can find them thru Amazon or possibly the website for Stan's No Tubes - it's a device called "The Injector". Instead of using Stan's fluid you use the mousse gel. Screw it on every now and then and add more lube.👍

We have a universal fan kit slavensracing.com/shop/universal-fan-kit-by-trail-tech/ but a battery is required OR maybe it's time to update to a E-start bike.

That's a toothy rear tire. What's the purpose of the mouse gel? Do the mousses wear prematurely from friction with tire carcass? I only run Tubliss but thinking of putting a mousse in rear. No steering stabilizer? What kind of bars are those? Did you buy Mexican insurance for your bike for the duration?

  • @slaverace1

Gel greatly reduces the friction. Without gel the mousse will fail quickly. Flexx handlebars slavensracing.com/shop/fasst-flexx-handlebars/ Get insurance at bajabound.com
