It's time to make the KTM 500 dirt bike into a simple lightweight adventure motorcycle, but with a twist. Once this bike arrives at its destination in Page, AZ after 200 miles of adventure riding and camp is set up, it will be stripped back down and will be entered into a 2.5-hour hare scramble race against other race-built enduro dirt bikes. The goal is to try and have most of the adventure elements of the bike removable to shave as much weight as possible.

This 2020 KTM 500 XCF-w is getting prepared to be put to the ultimate swiss army knife of motorcycles test; be a fully functional adventure bike that can carry camping gear, food, water and then once it arrives be turned back into a capable racing dirt bike. The bike has been racing and will be entered into the B class at 2022 Round 6 of Arizona's premier enduro dirt bike racing series, AMRA. The race will be held in Page, Arizona at the same location where the US Hard Enduro series race "Grindingstone" hard enduro happens.
