I really adore, how by their voices we can see their sight. 1972 Once-ler: This is how it SHOULD BE, so I'm trying to take my all 2012 Once-ler: This ISN'T supposed to be like that, but I DO NOT care, because who doesn't do that, am I right? People say that 12's Once-ler doesn't show companies like 72's does, but I can't agree. He just shows OTHER COMPANIES' policy, like Disney rn or smth

Well, it's just that his song (in the final cut of the film) "How Bad Can I Be?" kinda undermines how serious these kinds of issues really are. Whenever i listen to it, i personally don't think of the message, i instead think about how meme-worthy it is. Of course, that COULD be a commentary on subliminal messaging in media, but still, i think it would've been better if they kept "Biggering" as a darker reprise of the former to expose to us, the audience, how bad the situation truly is.

I don't like when people say that HBCIB is for memes, because if we got biggering, despite being the dark one - we still would got memes, this is how media works. HBCIB shows us, how Once-ler tries to hide for himself and then for others, that he does bad things, while biggering says "Yep, I'm a bad guy, so?". The second one more shows him as a cold-hearted monster, while the first one is what we got - good guy, who just doesn't want to accept the fact that he is a monster. NOT JUST BIGGERING showed that he is an asshole, other cut things too, like This is the place (In version we got, he just throws stuff, not knowing where it flew, while in TITP, he does bad stuff on purpose and in one theory (Personally, I hate it, but maybe you'll like it?), he means by "I love your graceful neck and your noble breast" that he wants to EAT swamy swans). So yeah, they removed biggering not only because it was dark, but plus because they wanted to make Once-ler more likable for the public. Don't blame HBCIB, it's a good song too, but with other meaning!

1:23-2:07 I love this secontion, the differences in the Lorax's personality expressed via how they refer to the Once-ler, Sir and Idiot. Reflecting a good way to show them. that is some key detail in expression is so well edited.
