I've always been fascinated by the fame of BIGBANG. You can ask the questions: what made them the icons of kpop? Why them? I came to the conclusion that when they appeared, they were nothing like other kpop idols: they didn't look or act like the ideal men Korean society was expecting them to be. Once you stripped them from all the cool clothes, they were just human, people who you could walk by on the street and maybe think to yourself: these guys look charismatic. They showed their humor, and their raw personalities and managed to establish themselves as icons. I'm sad that their reputation and career were tainted by what happened, that whole situation left me drained, I even left the kpop community for over a year because I was so affected by the situation, and also multiple other members of groups I love leaving. Now I feel like I matured enough to learn how not to be influenced by this industry and to enjoy its positive aspects. So if there are any new kpop fans lurking in the comments, one piece of advice I can give you: try to not let the negativity of this industry affect you. Stay for the great music, excellent talent, and fun content, but don't dwell on the dark-side too much. Acknowledging those parts is enough, focus on the positives in order to look after yourself. (Sorry for the random life lesson at the end, i feel like some younger fans might need to hear this)

Me as YG stan since BB era, when whole those bad things happened like one by one, & realized YG will not be the same, really affected me. But I know things will get better, it just take time. For me, I just ignore all news, comments etc. Coz those things I realize, the one that really make me feel worse. With BB comeback, its like a mark for a new beginning, new chapter & I look forward for it. Right now, as YG stan, I also look forward what next things Winner, iKON, BP, Treasure can bring...

Actually Blue is the song they released after they hit their first rock bottom in 2011 with some scandals that made everyone think that they might disband. Blue has a special meaning to them and to fans too because it kind of means a new beginning for them as well. Winter is gone and spring is coming.

12:30 ball and zero is the same word in Korean, it’s “gong” or 공. It doesn’t really have a sexual connotation like it does in English, lol. Zutter is just a funny romanization of a Korean slang word 쩔어 which means dope, cool, awesome but I don’t hear it as much as I used to.

Bad boy is my favorite song ever, its a masterpiece honestly. I've been a fan of BigBang since 2010 they're unique and their songs u can hear them for a lifetime. The only other group that I stanned other than them was Treasure.

i believe zutter's tittle is actually based on the lyric 쩔어 (jjeoreo) which means dope or awesome, and because this guys are geniuses and trendsetters, instead of making the english translation of the tittle as "dope", coz that'll be boring, they made it "zutter" which is actually can be the way of pronouncing or the sound that you will produce when you say jjeoreo, just like what u said, there is no z's in korean language so they pronounce it as j. and as for gd's line about balls, just like what many have commented, 공 (gong) is ball/zero in korean, so basically, gd is telling us that he is rich-rich and he have so many zero's on his bank account.

Zutter is from the MADE album which had the concept of Made Men (gangsters who have proved themselves and are set for life) since BB have always been the atypical group/bad boys/boundary pushers who have been scrutinized harder for any scandal they can be accused of yet still have so many loyal fans. GD will often use double or triple meanings in the lyrics, especially in Korean since he will often use Korean idioms or a play on idioms. His hair in Good Boy I think was actually made from stuff like glow sticks. Only a few of their latest MVs have subtitles.

For the lyrics in zutter that 'my bank account is like a pool table, so many balls' basically its because the word balls and zero has the same pronunciation in Korea therefore it is mentioned here that there is lots of money in his bank account. For the song good boy, I definitely recommend watching the performance in MAMA 2014 with English subtitle as there is a fantastic rap dissing MAMA for the intro from G-Dragon.

Their music video always interesting to look at but actually you will be surprised if their live performance. They called king of live performances.

Taeyang and GD were supposed to debut as a hiphop duo before YG changed his mind and decided to form the group that we now know as Bigbang (they also had a survival programme). They have known each other and trained together since they were about 11 or 12. Anyway, Good girl gave me an idea of what they might have sounded like have they debuted as a duo.

You’ll be amazed by BIGBANG’s live performances. If their mvs and songs are already sounding real good, much more their live perfs. They also tour with a live band, their music is live and they’re singing live and performing live. Sometimes, esp for idol groups where live perfs don’t live up to the hype of the recorded songs but with BIGBANG that’s a different story. VIPs rather watch their live performances than music videos to be honest. They listen to the live albums sometimes more than the studio records. BIGBANG doesn’t need massive, perfect choreography. Their presence alone is outrageous. Their adlibs are insane. lol. T.O.P can even just stand or walk & the audience will be madly smitten. They’re soooo funny and real too. THEY NEVER GIVE A FUCK. They put out music and it’s up to you to listen or not. But the more you listen, the more you’ll appreciate the variety of genres they put out. The melodies of their songs will stick with you that you’ll hum it even if you cant sing it. 😅

During Zutter: 'why would they do that??' because they can RJ lol that's the only reason

BLUE in Inkigayo is when my love for GD cemented. It erased my biased from Taeyang's Wedding dress. Hehe

What I like about YGE's Artist is that they don't conformed with what is everybody's doing back then. When everyone's doing a box MV's, most of their MV are done outside. When almost all idols doing same outfit, they have individual colors and style so it's easy to recognized them. That's why it was easy for me to recognized who's who in Bigbang, 2NE1, Winner, iKon, and Blackpink. Even with hairstyle, they are trend setter. I still remember when everybody was awed on GD's hairstyle in Fantastic Baby. Same with Sandara Park's (2NE1) hairstyle in I Love You MV. Even my friend copied Dara's hairstyle. If you watched fanboys of BB or even those who doesn't stan them, they say they become a fan because of their styles. A lot says they copied Taeyang's hair or GD's and mannerism.

18:12 YES, I remember in 2017 GD once took a tarot reading. tarot reader say that the big year for Bigbang is 2022 in spring. and GD said he once wrote a song Blue with lyrics about spring. I'm sure this isn't a coincidence. GD's thoughts on writing music are very interesting, I'm sure when he wrote Still Life he thought of Blue. (Blue was released with almost the same case as Still Life, a very long hiatus and all the scandals that befell them in 2011)

"Bad Boy" was the first comeback I had with BigBang ten years ago (I'm only 25, but I feel so old saying that.) and to this day is still one of my favorite songs of all time. The live performance of the song at their 'Made in Seoul' 2016 concert is also so freaking amazing.

Also hard to translate into english. 🔹"im ILL (sick/dope) plus 1 (one in korean is ILL), Jiyongi" Jiyong is GD real name, means he is dope and no.1 🔹"My age is 2 and 7 combined, natural" In 2015 GD's age is 27 y.o 🔹"My bank account is like a pool table, so many balls" meaning GD's bank account has lots of zeros symbolizing how fvcking rich GD is. 🔹"This is like Tazza G-Dra_Goni and Dagil's collaboration, put on a big smile We're both tazzas" This takes a reference from TOP's film, titled Tazza 2. Goni and Degil are two big characters in this film. Tazza means cheating card player in gambling. 🔹GD & TOP talking about real stuff here. How GD become successful with hard work since young age, how he so rich and dope. Want to add that "ill plus 1" is a reference to "gwiyomi" song that idol used to do in variety back then. 2+7 not only reference to his age but also you can hear "nae nain iwa" where the "nain" = 9 is a reference to baccarat (casino game) where if u get natural 9 (2+7), the game automatically end. So, "my age (nain) is 2 and 7 combined, its natural" could also heard as "9 is 2 and 7, its natural" = im 27, im natural (idk, he aging naturally or plastic surgery thing?) And i got 9, im gonna end this rap game (theres a "natural 9" bet in casino where u bet that ur card gonna be natural 9. He already knew his own card, thats why he said "never lose, the dealer got brain hemorrhages") Thats all I remember, i think

Back then theres not many who analyze kpop lyrics in youtube (no one in particular did that in english) so not many people knew these mans lyrical capability

Thank you for this reaction! others have already answered the question about zutter hahaha BIGBANG has a lot of wordplay in their songs, so always pay attention because they confuse sometimes hahaha. I recommend others songs/MVs from BIGBANG: dirty cash// Lies // Tell me goodbye // Tonight (all are a bit older but these are great songs).

Been a fan since 2008! I love them. Was fortunate to attend MADE concert in New York. Was a great experience, although I don't recommend standing vip section. The fans there's are crazy and will push and pull to get to the front.
